The Sr. Manager, Solution Engineering-SLED leads a geographicallydispersed team that partners with Business Sales to sell T-Mobilefor Business products and services by leveraging their strongtechnical skills, experience, and industry knowledge. SEs engage inpre-sales activities by consulting on customer opportunities tounderstand their business, identify their challenges, and developsolutions that meet their needs. The Sr. Manager, Solution Engineering – SLED will lead architectsand designs solutions, provides technical support in salespresentations, product demonstrations, as well as providing answersto customers’ deep technical inquiries specifically in for theSLED/Government space. SE’s further supports Business Sales byreviewing specific customer opportunities and sales funnels. SE’swill keep the Government Sales teams they support appraised ofrelevant technologies and industry trends. SLED SE’s will maintain advanced level technical knowledge within adefined product set: Telematics, Private Networks, IoT, Fixed Wireless, Collaboration,Cloud, UEM, Security, Partner Device and Application ecosystemcertification and enablement. SEs maintain their technical skills and industry expertise byparticipating in internal and external training opportunities. SEsalso pursue and maintain partner or industry certification asrequired for their position. The Sr. Manager, Solution Engineering- SLED is a technical leaderwith solid business acumen, balancing knowledge of the Governmentspace, technical experience, strategic thinking, communicationskills and leadership prowess to successfully build and coach ateam that consistently delivers innovative and differentiatedsolutions for our T-Mobile for Business customers. Responsibilities Supports Pre-sales Activities (including, but not limited to)provide RFP technical input, strategize with sales team to improveRegional/National sales, own customer technical relationships,understanding nuances, and drivers, design and architect servicesand solutions, uncover opportunities and recommend solutions,partners ability to review and demonstrate product roadmap tocustomers and sales team. Engaged to for Executive Briefing Center presentations. Identify and develop SE’s, industry leading talent in SLEDopportunities. Assist with Go to Market strategy with sales, product, and 3rdparty vendors to include 5G Advance Network/IoT Solutions supported deployment andsizing. Assist with training, technical documentation and developmentfor the Solution Engineering and Government Sales organizations. Partner with Marketing, Product, Engineering, Sales Ops, andCare teams to provide feedback, support special projects, and engage in market-levelopportunities.
Qualifications:
5+ years’ experience in Telecommunications or Cloud/SaaSleadership role. Proven track record in building and developing successful teamsin the Government/SLED space. Understanding of Government buying cycles and purchasingvehicles preferred Success in solution sales, managing internal/externalrelationships in a matrix environment and technical strategy. 2+ years public cloud, Private Network and/or IoTexperience. Bachelor’s degree Required, MS/MBA Preferred Presentation skills are required to convey design benefits to awide range of audiences. Proven ability work with cross-functional teams; excellentinterpersonal skills Experience working with both technical and non-technical teamsto define, scope and prioritize product requirements Strong analytical and quantitative skills; bias toward makingdata-based decision and comfortable with analysis Excellent written and verbal communication skills At least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the
United States High School Diploma or GED Total Target Cash Pay Range:
$160,700 – $289,800, inclusive oftarget incentives
Base Pay Range:
$112,490 – $202,860 The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successfulcandidate in this role. The successful candidate’s actual pay willbe based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications,and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within thisrange.
