POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead Accounting Consultant will work with a wide variety of small business clients, to understand their needs and continually assist them in determining how to apply accounting practices to their business processes. The lead will guide the client in properly understanding, recording, and presenting financial information. The lead will review client work performed by and serve as a resource for the team assigned to the account. This position will be on-site for the first 90 days. After 90 days there will be an opportunity to move to a hybrid work model. We are a DEI-positive company committed to creating an equitable and inclusive work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific duties may include project management, financial analysis, internal audits, budgets, forecasts, cash projections, payroll processing, full-charge bookkeeping duties, systems evaluation and implementation, and software integrations. Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and offering support during challenging times. Initiate, manage and lead both internal and client specific meetings. Maintain consistent communication with clients and managing expectations of work timelines, volume, and expense. Consult with clients on overall business strategies when appropriate and continually educating them on available services that would support their goals. Provide internal and external status, operational metrics, and service level reporting. Provide problem resolution following proper procedures. Manage issue resolution across functional areas to ensure delivery on time. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving accounting support inquiries with a focus on providing a high level of customer service. Maintain accurate and complete documentation on the status of ongoing implementations and problems. Effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects, tasks, and key timelines Manage client processing team to ensure alignment of tasks, deadlines, and communication. Provide continuous performance feedback to direct support team members working on mutual client accounts as well as completing 360 reviews for all members of the PEAK team. Mentor bookkeepers and other teammates when there is an opportunity to share knowledge to strengthen the team. Participating in team development workshops Accurately use Peak task management (Monday’s) and continually review to assure accuracy and completeness of current job duties. Use workflow system (OneNote/Teams) to maintain communication with team and record project plans, client communications and reporting. Follow security protocols. Additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to manage multiple projects and team independently and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal skills Professional and resourceful style High integrity and sound judgement Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to working independently while also managing a team. Experience using Microsoft Teams and One Note Must be reliable.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Accounting Degree Proficient in QUICKBOOKS and

QUICKBOOKS

on-line Job Costing Experience with Payroll Ability to manage across industries. Proficiency in EXCEL including pivot tables. Experience coaching and managing staff is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate in person and over the phone.
