Patient Account Representative 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars 1226 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225 AMI is seeking a Patient Account Representative (PAR) to join the team! This is a great opportunity to join a growing outpatient Radiology practice. Offered rates increase based on years of work experience. The Patient Account Representative (PAR) is responsible for but not limited to: Communicating with patients as they are scheduled for services at our Practice, with the patients insurance provider and the patients physicians office to ensure that patients arrive for procedures with the appropriate & complete referral forms, pre-certifications, prior exam information and reports and health history questionnaires; The PAR ensure that any authorizations required by the patients health insurance carrier are obtained prior to the scheduled appointment and coordinates with the patient, the referring physician and our Practices billing department to ensure that the authorization is obtained and any payment responsibilities are discussed; Confirms appointments as per Practice Policy; Schedules procedures as assigned; and Other duties as assigned. The full time, 40 hour per week position will train at the Northfield office location for four (4) to six (6) weeks, and then work remote following the completion of training. The work schedule for this position includes Monday-Friday 9:30am-6pm, with rotating Saturdays 8am-12pm every 16 weeks. Schedules and locations are subject to change based on business needs. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, some college coursework a plus. The ideal candidate has prior work experience as a direct liaison to insurance carriers, responsible for securing insurance authorizations for services and/or medical procedures. Previous experience in a radiology practice, medical office or hospital setting strongly preferred. Intermediate computer skills are required. Qualified candidates also have excellent organization skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. To be successful in this role, candidates must have strong interpersonal skills, exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and a demonstrated understanding of the importance of providing exceptional customer service to our patients.
