This role requires a deep understanding of the US healthcare andpharmaceutical landscapes, exceptional negotiation skills, and theability to collaborate cross-functionally to drive commercialsuccess. The successful candidate will be responsible for managingassigned national accounts, leading contract negotiations,maximizing gross-to-net, and driving initiatives that optimizemarket positioning and revenue growth. Main Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership andAccount Management
- Develop and execute the overall strategy fornational accounts with a focus on PBM and GPO relationships.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and keynational accounts, ensuring alignment with company objectives andmarket access goals.
- Identify and cultivate new opportunitieswithin the PBM/GPO channels to expand market presence and improvecommercial outcomes.
Contract Negotiation and RelationshipBuilding:
- Lead high-level negotiations for contracts andpartnerships with PBMs and GPOs, ensuring mutually beneficial termsthat enhance market access.
- Build and maintain long-termrelationships with executive stakeholders at PBMs, GPOs, and otherstrategic partners.
- Develop tailored proposals and business casesthat address the unique needs and requirements of each partner.
- Diving deeper into account personnel by leveraging digital tools[N1-Connect, LinkedIn, etc.
]to ensure there are multipletouchpoints and layers of relationships in different functionalareas.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internalteams including sales, marketing, pricing, contracting, operations,regulatory affairs, and legal to ensure a cohesive approach tomarket access.
- Provide insights and market intelligence tosupport product development and positioning strategies.
- Coordinate with commercial and operations teams to ensure theeffective execution of strategic initiatives.
Market Analysis &Strategy Development:
- Monitor industry trends, competitiveactivities, and regulatory changes to inform strategic planning andrisk management.
- Analyze data and market performance metrics toassess the effectiveness of current PBM/GPO partnerships and toidentify areas for improvement.
- Present regular reports andstrategic updates to senior management, outlining key achievements,challenges, and opportunities.
About You Required QualificationsEducation:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, HealthcareAdministration, or a related field.
An advanced degree (MBA, MHA)is preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of 8-10 years of progressiveexperience in market access, national account management, or arelated role within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex PBM/GPO relationships andexecuting large-scale national account strategies.
- Proven trackrecord of successful contract negotiations and partnershipmanagement. Other
