• Experienced Only (Brooklyn) We are seeking a highly organized and experienced rental car operations manager to run day-to-day activity at a growing luxury and economy rental car business in Brooklyn.

This is not a desk job — we are looking for someone with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in car rental operations (Enterprise, Hertz, Turo, Getaround, private fleet, etc.). ⸻ ✅

Responsibilities Include:

• Managing day-to-day rental operations (check-in/out, prepping vehicles, schedule management)
• Charging customers up front, placing credit card holds for deposits, and processing payments
• Verifying customer identification and insurance (including calling carriers)
• Completing and organizing signed rental contracts and renter info
• Tracking mileage, fuel, damages, and vehicle condition before/after rentals
• Managing and scheduling regular vehicle maintenance and detailing
• Coordinating roadside assistance or tow service if needed
• Handling tickets, tolls, claims, and late returns
• Communicating with commercial auto insurance brokers or providers
• Maintaining a clean, organized record of the fleet: condition, usage, and availability ⸻ ????️ Must Be Highly Organized
• Create and update rental logs, vehicle mileage, fuel and condition reports
• Track rental history, driver info, tolls, and claims in Google Sheets or similar tools
• Manage files, digital copies of IDs, receipts, and contracts
• Keep clear service history for each car
• Ensure daily prep and pick-up readiness of all vehicles ⸻ ????

Requirements:

• 5+ years in the car rental industry (Enterprise, Hertz, Turo, private fleet, etc.)
• Familiar with Square, Stripe, or Clover for running cards and deposits
• Understanding of NY-area auto insurance practices
• Comfortable calling insurance companies to verify coverage
• Ability to identify high-risk renters and avoid fraudulent bookings
• Clean driver’s license and ability to drive/relocate vehicles
• Professional and confident customer communication (phone + in-person) ⸻ ????

Preferred But Not Required:

• Experience with exotic/luxury rentals (BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, etc.)
• Familiar with Turo, Getaround, HyreCar, or similar platforms
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Familiarity with Fleetio or similar tracking tools ⸻ ????
