The Senior Account Director at CG Life is a pivotal team memberon strategically important key accounts, building and maintainingstrong relationships with clients. This position is responsible forincreasing revenue within existing accounts and deliveringexceptional customer service to clients at all levels of theirorganizations. As the primary advocate for clients, this personexcels in fast-paced environments and is energized by the challengeof helping clients achieve their goals. The Senior Account Directoris a day-to-day business builder, keenly focused on mergingexperience, current marketplace analysis, and client goals todeliver successful marketing projects, programs, and campaigns.

They push past the status quo and encourage those around them to dothe same as they lead their teams within the Client Servicesdepartment. Key Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Client Relationships Owns the client relationship for a large $5Maccount or 2-3 brands or a franchise. Builds and maintainseffective client relationships, frequently at the senior level, byestablishing trust and credibility at all levels in the clientsorganization, including senior management. Establishes regularcommunication with clients to ensure their satisfaction andfacilitate our long-term profitability and growth. Effectivelyprovides leadership and support to ensure the agencys perspectiveis effectively communicated and represented, fostering acollaborative environment that aligns team efforts with theorganizations goals and values. Account Growth Driven to growaccounts, ensuring all opportunities and challenges within anassigned client are understood, solutions are identified, andpushing the team to pursue upsell opportunities. Collaborates withkey leaders to present effective solutions that engage clients andgenerate excitement for additional projects. Able to author mostparts of a pitch presentation with key input from SMEs. AccountFinance Ensures the accurate management of the account financials,including managing reporting. Leads and reports on monthly andquarterly forecast updates for the assigned client account(s).Project Oversight Writes monthly account updates and keeps seniormanagement informed of any issues with proactive ideation. Guidesand directs cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality work,strong business results, and service excellence for clients (acrossStrategy, Engagement, Digital, Creative, Science, PM, etc.).Leadership & Strategic Guidance Demonstrates exemplary behaviorwith overall on-the-job professionalism and models leadershipbehavior by communicating expectations and values clearly, givingemployees time to adjust to new tools or practices. Develops astrong account team by fostering effective working relationships,building confidence and trust, and ensuring clear communication ofexpectations and feedback. Effectively leads strategic discussionson initiatives and proactive problem-solving. Owns the client’sbusiness and strategy to effectively influence the client toachieve their objectives. Leads strategic discussions and meetingswith clients and internal teams, demonstrating exceptional accountleadership by leveraging insights and industry knowledge to guidedecision-making. Leads ongoing account planning to ensure allopportunities and challenges with the assigned client(s) areunderstood, and solutions are identified. Reviews literature on theindustry, client, and competitive information to continually expandunderstanding of brand/market and identify opportunities forclient(s). Internal Relationships Builds strong relationships withall functional team leads, ensuring the client’s objectives areconsistently met. Leads and guides team spirit and is often reliedupon to help them find a quick, acceptable path through difficultsituations. Exhibits effective working relationships across CGLcapabilities to drive complex projects from both a strategic andbusiness relationship perspective. Knowledge & Expertise In-depthunderstanding of omnichannel marketing concepts and campaigns,including best practices across digital channels, data management,analytics, and related technologies. Serves as team leader to boththe agency team and the client and the client’s agency partners.

Advances best practices in agency process. Demonstratedunderstanding and leadership of pharma/healthcare marketingfundamentals. People Management Effectively manages, guides, andcoaches direct reports by staying involved in their development andproviding valuable feedback, guidance, and encouragement. Takes anactive role in mentoring junior team members on best practices andclient handling and alerts them to opportunities for mentorshipacross CGL to achieve career goals. Contributes to staffingplanning for client accounts.

Requirements Qualifications andSkills:

12 years of healthcare or life sciences agency experienceor experience in a fast-paced life sciences/healthcareorganization. Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or arelated field. Prior agency experience with drug launch andmulti-channel marketing plan execution. Demonstrates ability toadapt to various client corporate cultures and work with a diverserange of personalities. Management experience is required. Able toempower, keep teams on track, and participate in the professionaldevelopment of the team. Outstanding business interpersonal skills.

Ability to explain sophisticated terms, clinical trials, andstudies pertaining to the brand. Strong data orientation. Excellentanalytical and strategic-thinking abilities to carefully managedetails while juggling multiple projects. Puts together exceptionalprofessional-looking documents and presentations. Exceptionalpresentation/public speaking skills. Ability to focus and workunder pressure during tight deadlines with humor, tact, andprofessionalism. Willingness and ability to travel occasionally.

As required bylaw in this state, the estimated salary range for this position is$135,000 – $155,000 and represents our good faith estimate as towhat our ideal candidates are likely to expect. We tailor ouroffers within the range based on organizational needs, internalequity, market data, geographic zone, and the selected candidate’sexperience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical andcommunication skills, and other factors that may prove relevantduring the selection process. At CG Life, it is not common forindividuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, andcompensation decisions depend on a variety of factors. Thisposition is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonusprogram, subject to the rules governing the plan.
