PAGENERAL SUMMARY
The Customer Business Team Leader is responsible for a team of sales personnel and is expected to drive revenue at accounts within assigned channels of business.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Drives profitable revenue growth by successfully managing a sales team selling against annual/season goals and increasing market share within specific channels of business.
Direct selling responsibility for Key Account(s) within the ChannelIndirect selling responsibility for account base of Direct Reports/TeamOversight of Broker Relationships supporting Channel/Account sales where applicableSupports the development of the Annual Operating Plan in alignment with the GMManages and approves annual trade fund /promotional spending within assigned accounts/channel(s)Provides leadership and direction around promotional planning and analysisWith the Sales Managers, develop and maintain customer relationships at all levels within the accounts/channel. Position Crayola Corporate executives at proper levels within the accounts.
Manages and responds to high level customer concerns and problems.
Works Cross-Functionally to develop assortment strategies for assigned channels of business.
Work collaboratively with CPFR on forecasting at the program and product level, and aligning on a monthly financial call for the channels and key accounts.
Provides leadership and direction to team on how to make fact based sales presentations using category and market knowledge, account practices, and promotional strategies, turning them into executable solutions/opportunities.
Ability to evolve individual skillset to meet demands of changing retail marketplace.
Support account-level Omnichannel goals and development by communicating needs end to end internally.
Conducts and maintains detailed analysis of business trends in each account (market share, pricing, promotions, shopper insights, digital/omnichannel)Maintains strong Industry, Category, and Product knowledge.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree a plus.
Minimum 7 years sales and account management experience within Consumer Product Goods sales or category managementClassically trained with a major CPG manufacturer in the areas of category management, EPA, planograming, account P&L’s and analyticsDemonstrated experience and results with account penetration at higher management levelsFact based selling and strong negotiation skillsGood strategic planning skillsAbility to communicate consumer trends and formulate actionable customer programs through the use of data.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and leadership qualities.
Moderately advanced computer skills within Microsoft Office.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
