Our prevention, intervention and treatment programs spread the message that there is hope and that substance misuse and addiction are preventable and treatable. In this position, under the supervision of the POE Manager, provide administrative and operational support by performing the following duties. Under the supervision of the VP of Clinical services, provides coverage as needed for conducting HIV testing, and educates, counsels and aids individuals dealing with substance use disorders in addressing their HIV status and HIV risk reduction. Position Logistics 37.5-hour work week (5-day work week) Routinely 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM shifts Monday – Friday Flex Schedule and occasional overtime as approved by supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Admissions & POE:

Process the point of entry for new patients and patients re-entering services. Greet incoming patients, verify identity, and accurately enter information required including demographics, payment source and other information required for admission into the electronic health record system. Explain legal consents, program forms, and other intake information during the point of entry process while obtaining necessary signatures. Obtains insurance information for patients with third party coverage and enters the payment source in the patient database and notify appropriate staff. Assist patients with questions or concerns regarding the POE/admission process.

Patient Account Services:

Process financial assessment applications for various grants and financial assessment programs. Generate and monitor the caseload report and send re-engagement letters. Cover the patient accounts window as needed, including collecting, logging payments, and handling any billing inquiries. Enter patient services accurately in a timely manner.

Auditing:

Monitor and process caseload report for re engagement. Monitor, adjust and approve Treatment Scholarship applicants. Mail out FA approval letters. Generate/Monitor payer reports to ensure accurate payers are entered and end dated as applicable. Monitor the incomplete POE Module. Minimum Education and/or Experience A high school diploma or GED is required. An associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is desired. Six months to one-year-related experience and/or training are also required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
