JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the North America Sales Manager, theOutside Sales Manager will be responsible for creating andimplementing a strategic plan that will provide for the growth andmaintenance of the Company’s automotive business mainly withinMexico. Inherent in these responsibilities will be the positioningof the Company as the preferred for all the appropriatemanufactured products. This will be accomplished by developingstrategic partnering relationships and providing the OEM customerbase with world class service and support in all areas of salesand, marketing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILTIES
Work with UpperManagement to establish a sales strategy that will provide andensure for increased profitable sales. Review performance againstoperating plans and standards. Build a personal relationship at anappropriate level of management at each account. Lead by example.
Remain as visible as possible, to both staff and customers, andpersonally demonstrate the work and service ethic necessary forgrowing sales in a competitive environment. As required, workclosely with the NA Sales Manager in the development and executionof marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, toensure the profit growth and expansion of the company’s productsand services. Obtain accurate information from the customer toensure the quoting process is both accurate and timely. Work withthe staff to ensure fast and efficient customer service. Resolvecustomer complaints regarding products and services. Assesscustomer sales and trends with Customer Service to help provideaccurate forecasts. As necessary, research, analyze and monitor theprogress of products, pricing policy and product packaging toensure the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and plans tomeet changing market and competitive conditions. Create, analyzeand control sales budget and expenditures to conform to budgetaryrequirements established by senior management. Remain aware ofcompetitive products, their selling strategies, and industrychanges. Fully understand and interest our products and productionprocesses, and not only sales but also propose cost savings and newproducts idea.
