POSITION SUMMARY

Work closely with the Business Analyst/Customer Support Lead and National Account Managers in processing daily replenishment orders and customer support requests.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Process EDI Orders as well as Manual and PDF Orders
  • Processes customer orders/changes/returns according to established department policies and procedures.
  • Communicates with customers regarding prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays and any additional information needed by the customer.
  • Complete Customer Cut Sheets and communicate shortages with Sales Mgr. or Rep Group
  • Confers with production, shipping, warehouse or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments.
  • Follows up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.
  • Work with Distribution Center in requesting cycle counts to ascertain if perpetual inventory is correct.
  • Complete item set-up sheets and new account set-up information for new accounts.
  • Request and Coordinate EDI Testing with Director of IT for new accounts.
  • Answers questions from customers or individuals on how a product use or directs them to a person able to help them.
  • Interact with all departments involved, working with retailers and sales representatives building customer loyalty.
  • Works with customers to resolve disputed credit items/terms.
  • Provides timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns,
  • Request and Send Customer Samples to Buyers or Representatives.
  • Partners with the sales team to meet and exceed customer’s service expectations.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in a Customer/Client Focused support role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of personalities
  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong problem solving ability
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite especially Word and Excel
  • Ability to utilize the internet for work related matters and be proficient using email systems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Must be able to sit/stand for 8 hours.
  • Walking, bending, light lifting up to 50 lbs.
