As aPsychiatry Account Manager, you lead the promotion of ourpsychiatry portfolio, executing sales and marketing strategies withcomprehensive clinical knowledge to drive sales performance. OurAccount Managers are adept at executing against the toughestcommercialization challenges in today’s rapidly changingenvironment and must demonstrate strong capability in the followingareas:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Business Planning & Account Leadership
- Ability to use digital tools and apply data-based insights tocreate opportunities, develop strategy & tactics, allocateresources to enhance sales execution, monitor progress and adjustdirection to maximize sales performance. Selling
- Deliver messagesin a clear and compelling way to customers, effectively probecustomer needs to handle objections, and close every call with acommitment to action to drive changes in behavior. CustomerDevelopment
- Build and maintain productive internal and externalrelationships based on customer needs and organizational goals,incorporating “total office” account management. Local Market &Therapeutic Area Expertise
- Gather and validate key trends anddynamics in the market, map account linkages, and applycomprehensive therapeutic knowledge to uncover and prioritizeunique opportunities. Reimbursement
- Consistently demonstrate theability to stay informed on reimbursement dynamics, anticipate andeffectively address payer access issues (IDNs, Medicare, Medicaid,Commercial) using Lundbeck resources. PharmaceuticalEnvironment/Compliance
- Ability to apply knowledge ofpharmaceutical and regulatory environment, including accountabilityand adherence to Lundbeck policies and procedures and FDAregulations regarding the promotion of pharmaceutical and medicalproducts.
REQUIRED
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:
Bachelor ofArts or Bachelor of Sciences degree from an accredited college oruniversity 2 years pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics,medical device sales or related healthcare sales experience Mustdemonstrate the intellectual capacity to score highly on diseaseand product training exams, including being certified on productknowledge annually Self-starter, with a strong work ethic andoutstanding communication skills Must be computer literate withproficiency in Microsoft Office software Must live within 40 milesof territory boundaries Driving is an essential duty of this job;must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record thatmeets company requirements Meeting and complying with reasonableindustry-standard credentialing requirements of healthcareproviders / customer facilities is required for continuedemployment with Lundbeck
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE ANDSKILLS
Previous experience within a specialty product sales force.
Prior experience promoting and detailing products specific toCNS/neuroscience including: depression, schizophrenia and bipolardisorder Documented successful sales performance Ownership andaccountability for the development and execution of fullyintegrated account plans Strong analytical background, andexperience using sales data reporting tools to identify trendsExperience in product launches Previous experience working withalliance partners (i.e., co-promotions) Strong leadership throughparticipation in committees, job rotations, panels and relatedactivities
TRAVEL:
Willingness/Ability to travel up to 30%
- 40%domestically to (a) regularly meet/interact with customer base andinternal personnel within assigned territory; and (b) typicallyattend 4-8 internal/external conferences and meetings spanninglocations within the United States.
Travel must be able to becompleted in a timely manner. The range displayed is a nationalrange, and if selected for this role, may vary based on variousfactors such as the candidate’s geographical location,qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
Salary Pay Range:
$117,000
- $137,000 and eligibility for a salesincentive target of $39,000.
