Exempt Essential Functions, Job Duties, and Responsibilities Responsible for identifying opportunities for business services of Dunavant. Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Analyze market data to develop targeted strategies for business growth. Identify and generate new leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, and online research. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients. Foster strong and lasting relationships with existing clients, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. Act as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and service requests. Prepare and present compelling proposals, quotes, and presentations to potential clients. Collaborate with the operations team to develop customized solutions that meet client needs. Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals by converting leads into long-term clients. Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to maximize revenue. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients while ensuring profitability and adherence to company policies. Identify new market segments for potential business development opportunities. Develop and implement strategies to enter and expand in new markets. Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and market developments. Provide regular reports and analysis to the management team regarding sales performance and market trends. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, customer service, and marketing, to ensure seamless execution of customer orders and satisfaction. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to drayage and logistics. Performs all other duties or projects as assigned. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements Computer skills – Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows. Ability to collect, digest, and organize complex information and use experience to present information in an efficient and thoughtful manner with an attention to detail. Ability to write correspondence and to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to show passion for customer service endeavoring flawless execution. Ability to multi-task and keep up with a fast-paced environment. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to focus on problem solving with the ability to work with others in a fast-paced environment. Ability to be a self-starter and to exhibit sound decision making.
