- A full time Shelter Program Account Manager’s goal is to drive, convert and service Shelters in the Mars Adopt a Pet Shelter Plus program with excellence.
- What are we looking for?
- + Bachelor’s Degree Required + CAWA certification ideal + Relationships and understanding of the Shelter & Rescue Network (experience with Shelters preferred) + Minimum 5 years staff role in a humane organization (preferred) + Minimum 3 years of experience in sales and marketing + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc.
) + Passionate about serving and working across the Mars Ecosystem including pet nutrition, veterinary care, & diagnostics
- What would be your key responsibilities?

Business Development:
- + Utilize your experience and insight into shelter pain points and opportunities to engage shelters and manage all aspects of the recruiting, onboarding, training, and implementing the Shelter Plus program.
Achieve the following
KPI:
Recruit and onboard 25 new shelters annually to the Shelter Plus program.
- Relationships with
Existing Accounts:
- + Maintain satisfaction and overall participation with existing shelters: Establish trust and rapport with shelter management and staff and ensure that the holistic program and food delivery is meeting their expectations.
Serve as a credible advisor, offering solutions grounded in your firsthand understanding of shelter operations. Meet the following

80% retention rate of shelter contracts.
