Patient Accounts Rep II Rutland-VT-05701-United StatesResponsible for accurate and timely preparation, submission, andfollow-up of claims to third party carriers, intermediaries, andpatients. To facilitate payment of patient accounts in order tomaintain positive cash flow. Answers inquiries on a timely basisaccording to hospital procedures. Minimum Education § Associate’sDegree in a business or related field or equivalent experience.

Minimum Work Experience § 2 years of patient accounting experiencerequired including one year of electronic billing systemsexperience. § Experience with medical posting, billing and/orpatient account service and problem resolution. Required Skills,Knowledge, and Abilities § Knowledge of hospital billing practices.§ Knowledge of healthcare payors, the Fair Debt CollectionsPractices Act, and electronic remittance processing. § Strongcustomer service skills. § Excellent attention to detail. § Able towork independently as well as collaborate and share informationwith team members. § Strong verbal and written communicationskills. § Medical terminology knowledge. § Knowledge in Excel, Wordand Outlook. § Demonstrated moderate knowledge of Basic ComputerSkills.
