Full Job Description Overview:
The Runner is a critical support role that ensures smooth event flow by quickly handling last-minute needs, picking up supplies, transporting materials, and assisting different departments as needed. They are flexible, fast-moving, and ready to jump in wherever needed to help the event stay on schedule and stress-free for the lead team and talent.
Key Responsibilities:
Errand Support:
Pick up or drop off last-minute items (lunch orders, supplies, props, etc.). Handle quick runs for forgotten or urgent items from nearby stores or vehicles. •
Backstage & Floor Assistance:
Support stylists, models, or the makeup team with additional tools, water, towels, etc. Assist in moving equipment or supplies between different areas of the venue. •
Communication Relay:
Act as a messenger between different sections of the venue (styling area, stage, check-in, etc.). Notify the event lead or host when specific talent or segments are ready. •
Time Management:
Help ensure speakers, stylists, and guests are where they need to be at the right time. Give gentle time cues and reminders if segments are running behind. •
Logistical Support:
Assist with minor setup or breakdown tasks as needed. Be on standby to respond to urgent needs from the coordinator, glam team, or talent. •

Qualifications:
Must have reliable transportation (preferred if using own vehicle for supply runs). Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions quickly. Excellent time management and organizational ability. Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle unexpected situations. Physically able to move quickly and carry light items (bags, boxes, props, etc.). Professional appearance and respectful demeanor (will interact with talent). Prior experience in events, customer service, or backstage support is a plus but not required.
