Role:
You’ll be the first face our clients see and the voice they hear, so we’re looking for someone warm, professional, and motivated. Our clients are our family, so we need someone who will treat them as such! Our ideal candidate will prioritize getting to know our guests, ensuring they feel valued, nurtured and supported. While your primary role will be receptionist duties like checking dogs in and out, your secondary mission will be driving sales . You’ll be upselling services like stylized grooming, customized coat-specific baths, and spa service upgrades, booking appointments, and reaching out to clients through calls and marketing campaigns. When you’re not working with clients, you’ll be hands-on helping our team with light bathing, cleaning, laundry, filing, updating client profiles, and keeping the resort sparkling for our guests. We’re looking for someone who: Loves engaging with people, building genuine relationships, and isn’t afraid to sell a product or service they believe in! Is confident in making/receiving phone calls, sending texts and answering emails. Someone who is tech-savvy, creative, and energized by crafting engaging content for social media and email marketing campaigns. Has an upbeat, attitude with strong organizational and multitasking skills. Is comfortable getting hands-on with basic grooming tasks (bathing, drying, assisting groomers) when needed. Role and Responsibilities:
Open the lobby/front desk area (lights, music, cleanliness check) Check voicemails, emails, and online appointment requests Respond to any client messages Review the day’s schedule (grooms, baths, check-ins, check-outs) Confirm appointments for the day + follow up on any missed confirmations Client-Facing Duties (Ongoing throughout the day): Warmly greet all clients and their dogs at check-in/check-out, noting the dog and the parent’s name. Collect and confirm service details (bath/groom upgrades, add-ons, etc.) Upsell additional services where appropriate (ex: toothbrushing, conditioner, de-shedding treatments, spa packages, etc. ) Process payments accurately and confidently through POS system Answer incoming calls and inquiries with enthusiasm and professionalism Engage in client follow to request feedback and gauge satisfaction Assist with dog bathing, drying, and prepping when needed to keep the day running smoothly and efficiently Sales & Marketing (Daily Goals): Make a set number of outbound sales/follow-up calls Capture photos/videos of dogs for marketing use Create, schedule and post social media content highlighting daily life at our salon, available services, adorable guests, testimonials, events, etc. Create and send 2 marketing emails per week, and 1 newsletter per month Monitor social media inboxes and respond to messages/comments Track sales/upsell success in a simple log for performance tracking Housekeeping (1-2 short blocks during slower times): Tidy front desk and lobby area (wipe counters, sweep pet hair, organize retail displays) Do laundry loads (towels, bedding) and fold/put away Assist with cleaning dog areas (mop small accidents, sweep hair, sanitize surfaces) File paperwork or update client records as needed
End-of-Day Routine:
Confirm all payments and appointments are correctly logged Clean and reset the lobby and front desk Double-check all dogs have correct go-home notes/instructions ready Review next day’s schedule and prep any notes needed Close front desk area If you’re a dog lover who’s confident in giving clients an exceptional experience, loves being part of a team, and thrives in a fast-paced environment — we want to meet you!
