This hourly position plays a vital role in our lead management process by engaging with inbound inquiries generated through our website and trade show events. The primary focus is to answer product-related questions, build rapport and guide prospects toward becoming Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs). As lead generation is essential to our company’s ongoing growth, this position offers a unique opportunity to make a direct and measurable impact on our success. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, excellent at developing relationships with internal stakeholders, and comfortable communicating across various channels to support our sales pipeline. This position reports directly to the Marketing Manager. About the Division The Marketing Department resides at the Headquarters for McElroy Metal. Comprising over a hundred employee-owners, the corporate location has several departments that support our manufacturing, sales, and retail departments. Hours 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

M-F Responsibilities Leads McElroy Chat Experience:

Holds primary responsibility for chats originating on the McElroy Metal website Serves as primary chat operator and ensures adequate chat operator coverage Maintains contact/follow-up if/until visitor becomes a Sales Qualified Lead (SQL) Leads effort and process improvements to create positive customer chat experience and increased ROI for McElroy Metal Reviews chat survey results and recommend improvements to our chat experience

Manages Inbound Leads:

Manages prospect lists and ensures data accuracy Owns and drives proactive communication for all Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL) Holds backup responsibility for lead assignment in HubSpot with the expectation to move to primary responsibility within 12 months Initiates analysis of all inbound marketing generated leads and recommendations: Initiates analysis, reporting, and recommendations to improve customer experience and ROI Reviews exit survey, dashboard data, and recommend process enhancements as appropriate Manages Inbound Lead sources, including:

Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and project management skills. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, English, Communication, or equivalent experience.

Desirable experiences:

Two or more years of marketing and/or customer service experience. Working knowledge of McElroy Metal, products, and manufacturing locations. Working experience with HubSpot and Inbound Marketing.
