Position:

The Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in implementing strategic marketing efforts that amplify Sankofa CDC’s mission and programs. This position involves developing and executing marketing campaigns, creating and managing content, analyzing performance data, and coordinating with team members and partners to deliver impactful communication across platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Campaign Development and Execution Plan, create and execute, and monitor marketing campaigns to align with Sankofa CDC’s goals. Create marketing plans, develop advertising campaigns, and oversee the implementation of Sankofa marketing channels. Content Creation and Management Create content for Sankofa marketing channels, including social media, email, websites, and partner assets Write copy, create engaging visuals (including photos and short-form videos), and manage content calendars. Data Analysis and Reporting Track and analyze campaign performance data to identify areas for improvement. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate key insights to internal and external stakeholders. Social Media Management Grow and manage social media accounts and create engaging content. Develop social media strategies, create content, schedule posts, and monitor engagement. Event Management Assist in planning and organizing events such as community events, festivals, cooking and gardening demonstrations, trade shows, webinars, and seminars. Manage logistics, coordinate with vendors, and create promotional materials. Collaboration and Communication Collaborate with team members, as well as external stakeholders. Coordinate with the marketing consultant, PR agency, and other partners.

Tasks:

Conduct market research and analyze data. Develop and execute marketing plans and campaigns. Create and manage brand content including social media, website and newsletters. Prepare marketing reports and presentations. Assist with event planning and execution. Manage marketing databases and contact lists. Coordinate with vendors and external partners. Track sales data and analyze marketing performance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is typically required. Experience Some experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field is preferred. Skills Strong communication, writing, and editing skills. Proficiency in design, marketing analytics tools, social media management, and project management software is beneficial. Other Requirements Responsible for coordinating and executing signage, print marketing and advertising efforts. Experience with SEO and PPC is preferred, but not mandatory. Some experience with sponsorship development or implementation is preferred.
