Our mission is to provide strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter, with the goal of increasing the number of homes built annually from one to five. Current projects include new home construction in Concord, retrofit of a barn into housing units in Westford, and completion of a rehab in Bedford.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Event & Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in building awareness, deepening community engagement, and raising critical funds to support Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell’s mission. This role is responsible for planning and executing fundraising and outreach events, including securing sponsorships and attendees. This role is also responsible for leading organization wide marketing and social media initiatives that conveys impact and shares awareness on our events, ReStore, construction projects, partner families, and more. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented planner, creative storyteller, and relationship-builder who is passionate about affordable housing and community-driven impact.

LOCATION

This is an in-person position based in Westford, MA. There is an expectation of travel within the Greater Lowell area for donor meetings, networking opportunities, and community events. Some WFH flexibility is included.

Director of Development

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Event Management Create and manage an annual calendar of fundraising and community events with clear timelines and goals Lead planning and execution for signature events including the annual gala, golf tournament, Women Build Week, home dedications, and groundbreakings Coordinate logistics such as venue booking, vendor management, setup/breakdown, signage, and supplies Work closely with staff and volunteers to ensure seamless event experiences Solicit event sponsorships, maintain sponsor relationships, and manage recognition efforts Monitor event budgets and collaborate with the finance team to track expenses and report outcomes Document and evaluate each event to inform future planning Occasionally work evenings and weekends for event execution Marketing & Social Media Create and manage an annual social media calendar, coordinating between departments to ensure timely coverage of milestones, events, and fundraising campaigns are shared across platforms like Instagran, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and more Create compelling content for email newsletters, social media, and the website Capture and share photos, videos, and testimonials from build sites and events Monitor social media analytics and trends to improve engagement Collaborate with Director of Development and Executive Director on campaigns, branding, and PR Community Engagement & Team Support Represent Habitat at community events and networking functions Support Outreach Coordinator on volunteer build days through marketing and logistics, including occasional lunch delivery for corporate groups Serve as a visible ambassador of the organization across Greater Lowell Lead the creation of the Annual Report and other key communications and mailers Revenue Generating Responsibility This role is responsible for raising a minimum of $220k in FY26 and $325k in FY27 through the following campaigns – Annual Gala, Annual Golf Tournament, Women Build, smaller events, annual appeal mailer, annual report mailer, and digital fundraising campaigns. Other responsibilities Focus on achieving the goals of the organization and key metrics. Perform other duties as needed. Increase the efficiency and effectiveness of your role with the organization by offering suggestions and other feedback. Work within an expense budget; submit all expense reports and monthly reports on time.

Qualifications:

Experience in event planning, marketing, nonprofit development, or community engagement Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for storytelling Familiarity with social media platforms (including Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn and YouTube), email marketing tools (including Constant Contact), and design tools (including Canva and Adobe) Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Comfortable speaking in public and engaging with a variety of stakeholders Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and donor/CRM systems Availability for some evening and weekend work
