The BDC Representative is responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and nurturing customer leads, both inbound and outbound, to support the sales and service teams. This position plays a crucial role in setting appointments, following up on customer inquiries, and creating a positive customer experience. The goal is to drive traffic to the dealership and ultimately contribute to sales growth and customer retention.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Qualification:
Contact potential customers through inbound calls, emails, and leads from the dealership’s website or third-party sources. Qualify leads based on customer needs and readiness to make a purchase. Engage with prospective customers via phone, email, or chat to promote dealership services and products.
Appointment Scheduling:
Schedule sales and service appointments for customers with the appropriate department. Confirm appointments and provide reminders to ensure customer attendance.
Customer Communication:
Handle customer inquiries, resolve concerns, and provide information on products, services, promotions, and inventory. Follow up with customers to maintain engagement and offer further assistance.
CRM Management:
Accurately enter customer information into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Maintain detailed records of communication, customer interactions, and appointment status. Track and update lead progress to ensure timely follow-ups.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the sales and service teams to relay customer feedback and specific needs. Assist in identifying sales opportunities and providing the sales team with detailed lead information.
Sales & Service Support:
Support sales efforts by managing customer inquiries about available inventory, financing options, and product features. Help increase customer satisfaction through prompt responses and exceptional customer service.
Skills & Qualifications:
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with customers in a professional manner.
Sales Experience:
Previous sales or customer service experience is preferred, ideally in a retail or automotive environment.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to address customer needs and resolve issues effectively.
Technology Proficiency:
Familiarity with CRM software and basic office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).
Customer-Focused:
Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships.
