Sales, Services and Marketing Coordinator Wilmington and Beaches Convention & Visitors Bureau Wilmington, NC 28401

Overview:

The Wilmington and Beaches Convention and Visitors Bureau is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales, Services and Marketing Coordinator to support both the sales and marketing departments in a dynamic, collaborative role. This position is essential to the successful implementation of campaigns, programs, and administrative functions that strengthen the visibility of our destination and drive tourism growth. Ideal for a motivated team player, this role bridges the marketing, sales and services teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support for the CVB office, including answering the main phone line and assisting customers with destination information.
  • Work with group leads for the Wedding, Military and Reunion markets.
  • Assist with group needs such as ordering signage and coordinating transportation.
  • Coordinate and maintain the Show Your Badge program, working with local partners to ensure current offers and program success.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of destination marketing campaigns, including managing timelines, updating project goals, tracking KPIs, and proofreading content and creative materials.
  • Support the creation, organization, and distribution of marketing materials for use by internal teams, partners, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Help plan and execute events such as promotional tours, trade shows, and partner/media visits. Responsibilities include ordering and tracking promotional items (swag), preparing swag bags, scheduling transportation, and managing event logistics.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of promotional materials and branded items, ensuring timely restocking and distribution.
  • Assist with community engagement initiatives as needed, helping to foster strong relationships with local partners and organizations.
  • Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • At minimum, a high school diploma.
  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing, sales support, event coordination, or tourism/hospitality a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools is highly desirable.
  • A collaborative attitude and willingness to take initiative in a team environment.
  • Interest in tourism, travel, and destination promotion is strongly preferred.
