The Regional Food Bank is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Community Partnerships and Marketing Coordinator to support our mission through the coordination of food and fund drives, as well as community events. This role plays a key part in engaging local partners, increasing community giving, and raising awareness of the Food Bank’s impact. The coordinator will utilize organizational resources to strengthen outreach efforts and build lasting relationships that support hunger relief across the region.

Qualifications:

Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with one or more years of experience in fundraising, marketing, and communications. Strong writing, speaking, analytical, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational ability. Ability to coordinate multiple projects and prioritize accordingly. Regional and local travel as needed. Valid New York State driver’s license.

Preferred qualifications:

Ability to speak and write to a variety of audiences. Knowledge of Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.

Physical Requirements:

This position works in a typical office setting but may be exposed to extreme temperatures in a warehouse setting. There may be extended periods of sitting, standing and/or bending, listening, talking and/or visual concentration, writing and/or computer use. This position would normally have routine opportunities for the employee to be able to alter their physical position or change eye focus. Lifting should not normally exceed 30 pounds.

Work hours/shift:

Monday-Friday; full-time; occasional weekend and evening work required for special events and food drives.

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications, responsible for coordinating a food and fund drive portfolio along with community events, utilizing resources of the Food Bank to increase giving and raise awareness of the Food Bank and its mission.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Coordinate food and fund drives and special events that have a food/fund drive focus. These may include but are not limited to: the Neighborhood Food Drive, Martin Luther King Jr. Food Drive, and Holiday Hunger Appeal virtual food drives. 2.Enhance community partnerships to include research, stewardship, proposal development, food and fund drive requests, cause marketing campaigns, third party fundraising, and all associated engagement activities. 3.Engage new and existing partnerships with individuals, churches, companies, and community organizations who run cause marketing campaigns, events, food drives, or fund drives to benefit the Food Bank. 4.Work with Development and Volunteer Services teams to coordinate offers, proposals, and asks that will provide opportunities for other volunteerism and giving based on personal interests and passion for specific aspects of the mission. 5.Use verbal and written communication to educate and engage the public through public speaking opportunities and tours. 6.Maintain accurate donor information and activity using Constituent Relationship Management (RaisersEdge NXT) software. 7.Assist with the creation of online engagement campaigns and peer-to-peer/crowdfunding campaigns, including set-up, monitoring, and reporting, using our online donation platform, GoFundMe Pro. 8.Ensure the Regional Food Bank brand is strong and consistent in every marketing tactic and follows the organization’s branding and messaging guidelines. 9.Participate in community activities to develop contacts and promote the work of the Food Bank as needed. 10.Offers ongoing support for marketing team projects. 11.Passionately represent the Regional Food Bank’s mission, values, and message with stakeholders and actively network within the community to grow support behind our mission. 12.Stays informed about marketing, communications, and fundraising trends nationally and within the Feeding America network. 13.Maintains a clean and safe workspace. 14.Follows all safety standards and procedures. 15.Works independently and collaboratively with other departments and employees in support of the mission of the Food Bank. 16.Adheres to the Food Bank’s Employee Code of Conduct. 17.Performs other duties as assigned.
