Summary:
Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania is seeking anAssociate Director of Development. The successful candidate will beresponsible for establishing and maintaining strong financialsupport for the agency from charitable revenue and public support.
Specifically, this individual will lead agency fundraising andcultivation and stewardship events, volunteer engagement, corporatepartner activations, assigned annual fund appeals, and isresponsible for maintaining and growing their assigned donorportfolio. This individual is responsible for networking andpositively demonstrating the image and mission of our agency to thepublic. This individual will need to demonstrate strong initiative,multi-project management, leadership and communication skills.
Basic Responsibilities:
Work with the Director of Development andkey stakeholders to develop and execute fundraising plans to ensureagency budget is met or exceeded. Plan and execute all aspects offundraising and cultivation/stewardship events.
Including:
but notlimited to timelines, logistics, budget management, participantrecruitment and stewardship, sponsorship solicitation andmanagement, volunteer recruitment and management, solicitation ofauction/raffle items and in-kind donations, acknowledgements,reporting, and event wrap-up. Working with the Director ofDevelopment, plan and execute donor campaigns/appeals as assigned.
This may include but not be limited to: Staff Giving Appeal, YearEnd Giving Appeal, Client/Family Appeal Identify, cultivate, andsolicit assigned portfolio of sponsors, team captains, donors,event participants and key volunteers. Maintaining high volume ofweekly touchpoints and providing personal and appropriatestewardship experiences to drive fundraising growth. Activelysteward and monitor donor portfolio with year-round mission focus,gratitude and timely response to engagement to motivatefundraising. Regularly monitor event performance to evaluate ROI,steward new participants, leverage fundraising and recruitmentmilestone for engagement, and maximize retention. Review currentevents and donor relationships, creating cultivation plans toincrease retention and profitability. Ensure compliance of agencywith all appropriate reporting, legal and regulatory requirementsof governmental agencies and funders. Project management across alldepartments, with a particular focus on marketing andcommunications, to ensure collaboration, strategy development,streamlined communication and coordinated execution. Travel andattend events, meetings and conferences to cultivate relationshipswith existing/new partners while serving as a positive ambassadorfor the organization. Generate project reports and budget forecastsin a timely manner. Discharge any other duties as may be assignedby the Director of Development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degreewith emphasis in marketing, communications or other related fieldOR commensurate experience Minimum of Five (5) years’ experience infundraising, account management, cause marketing, sales and/orgrant writing Success in executing events with $50,000 NET revenuesHighly proactive, autonomous, with experience meeting deadlines andbalancing competing priorities Excellent oral and communicationskills with a strong attention to detail Trustworthy with abilityto exercise discretion and confidentiality in handling data andinformation Ability to obtain Criminal record/fingerprintclearances Valid Driver’s License with ability to travel throughoutthe territory served by the agency and on occasion travel “out oftown”, including overnight trips. Ability to work mornings,evenings, and/or weekends to support events, meetings andnetworking
