days ago Greenville Drive Organization Overview The Greenville Drive relocated to Greenville, SC in 2005 and had its first season in Greenville’s West End stadium in 2006. The team is a Class-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox and members of Minor League Baseball’s South Atlantic League. The Drive’s Red Sox affiliation has been in place since 2008. Before the team relocated to Greenville, the team played in Columbia, SC and were known as the Capital City Bombers. The Drive play at Fluor Field in Downtown Greenville

Each year Fluor Field hosts 66 Greenville Drive baseball games and 30-35 amateur baseball games. In addition, under the year-round West End Events brand, Fluor Field hosts our community’s highest profile events including Artisphere, Euphoria, Imagine Upstate, and many others. The Drive’s contributions to Minor League Baseball and, more specifically, the Greenville community was recognized by being awarded the John H. Johnson Award in November 2017, which is considered the highest organizational achievement in Minor League Baseball by demonstrating a commitment to the community, operational excellence and overall franchise stability. For over 19 years, the Greenville Drive has created a highly visible and widely embraced community engagement platform at Fluor Field, reaching over 1 million ballpark guests and digital followers across the Upstate of South Carolina each year. This broad-reaching platform provides the Drive the opportunity to position itself as a community entity that businesses and community organizations alike can utilize to achieve critical tangible & intangible objectives. Working closely with the leading corporations, associations and community-based organizations that shape the quality of life in the Upstate, the Drive has formed strategic partnerships that positively impact a variety of critical initiatives. From Education to Entrepreneurism, from Youth Leadership to Healthy Living, and from Regionalism to Workforce Development, the Drive has creatively and continuously leveraged the community engagement platform that is Fluor Field to positively impact these and other key quality of life drivers. Furthermore, West End Events is a department within the Greenville Drive that is charged with managing and executing first-class events, mostly on non-game days. Fluor Field is the home to numerous venues that are capable of hosting events from 10 guests to as many as 7,000 guests. West End Events represents a rapidly expanding department within the Greenville Drive with ample opportunity for growth. A variety of events are hosted at Fluor Field each year, including but not limited to, corporate board meetings and functions, wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners, large community/city events, concerts, philanthropic events, and more.
Position Summary & Overview:
Partner Activations Manager Corporate partnerships & community engagement fuel the Drive’s connection with the Upstate community. Through a robust corporate partner portfolio of the most visible & engaged companies in the Upstate plus 30+ impactful Drive gameday community-centric events each year, the Drive works tirelessly to create value for businesses, drive positive change through community events, and connect the two where appropriate. The Drive is proud of the role it has played in bringing quality family-friendly sports entertainment to Greenville, and in being part of the Economic Development engine that is making the Upstate a great place to live, work and raise a family, and is also proud of the tangible business & marketing value it provides to its corporate partners every year. Primary Job Responsibilities As the manager of partnership activations, your overall & day-to-day responsibilities will unfold across the three following key areas: Community Events Activation (40%): Alongside the VP of Partnerships and Fan Engagement and/or other department leaders, help manage & activate specific soft dates, community nights, & other Fluor Field-related events & community nights each year. The specific soft dates will be assigned by Drive senior leadership and, when possible, include a sponsorship component (e.g.., Reading All Stars, Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering night, Boy Scouts, etc.). Specific responsibilities include managing and executing key deliverables of the soft date, providing regular updates on progress to internal Drive staff that will be shared with partners as needed, devising and executing ticket selling strategies (e.g., marketing, date selection, staffing, etc.), in-game execution, and other assorted tasks. You will also be asked to help, when appropriate, to provide cross support & assistance to community events associated with “West End Events @ Fluor Field”

The continued success of these games & events will be measured through increased participation, ticket sales, and most importantly event attendance. For perspective, community night/event success is defined as approximately 5,000 tickets distributed & 3,000 turnstile.
Sponsorship Activation (40%): Alongside the VP of Partnerships and Fan Engagement, help activate & manage the various elements within all Drive partnership relationships. This primarily includes devising a complete schedule that includes tracking and logging all elements within the relationship in a manner in which it’s easy to recap for each sponsor in the off-season, as well as a consistent communication strategy to keep key partners informed of partnership activities. This position will primarily lead all duties assigned to the development, execution of and promotion of Reedy’s Kids Club and Reading All-Stars, among other programs. As time allows, work with the President, VP of Partnerships & Fan Engagement, and other senior leaders to prospect new business and sponsorship opportunities. Brainstorm creative ideas for new partners, new activation proposals in addition to expanding & enhancing current sponsor elements as businesses change, including fresh and innovative activation ideas for utilization across the entire assigned portfolio. To the extent possible, use your creative abilities to add value to sponsor content shown in-park and within the community.
Top Quality Customer Service Advocate (20%): provide, via leadership by example, excellent customer service to all Drive Partners, Group Sales Customers, Hospitality, West End Events, and Game Day Customers as they relate to the Sponsor Services Department and Fluor Field experience. Commitment to Customer Service will be measured through customer service questionnaires, and direct feedback from clients, customers, Director of Sponsorships, and the VP-Marketing.
