This is an immediate opening for friendly, efficient, full-time retail marketing and events planner with specialty skills and training in marketing/event planning at a large wine and spirits retail store in Midtown area of Nashville. We are looking for qualified, enthusiastic candidates to fill a unique and exciting position. An associate who specializes in marketing, Social Media, publicity, and special event planning and execution. Candidates with special interest in the wine and spirits industry are strongly encouraged to apply! This is an opening for a full-time marketing/event planning and promotions specialist position. JOB DUTIES
- Plans and promotes special events including whiskey, food, and wine festivals across web, print, and social platforms
- Guides customers/special event clients through in store merchandise for special events and tasting menus
- Supports, plans, and executes on-site, web and all social media platforms.
- Promote and market multiple locations
- Assists customers with product selection and special order inquiries

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in large-scale event planning
- Strong work ethic and desire to learn on the job
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills
- Passion for project management and/or wine and spirits culture
- Ability to deal with high profile/high volume clientele in appropriate manner
- 1-3 years training or experience in similar field is desired but exceptions will be made for the right candidate
- Previous experience in beverage service and/or fine dining is ideal as candidates must be comfortable making food and wine pairing suggestions experience in customer service or other people-oriented fields desired
- Sales experience a plus
- Ability to fit into existing environment and thrive
