Marketing Coordinator
Full Time Exempt Position, Based in Tennessee. Supervised by the Development Director.
ABOUT TIRRC
The (TIRRC) is a statewide, immigrant and refugee-led collaboration. Our mission is to build power, amplify our voices, and organize communities to advocate for our rights. Our vision is a stronger, more inclusive Tennessee where people of all nationalities, immigration statuses, and racial identities can belong and thrive. TIRRC has a sister organization, TIRRC Votes, a separate, but related, nonprofit organization that is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. Although TIRRC and TIRRC Votes share a common goal of building power for immigrants and refugees in Tennessee, they are separate organizations with their own board of directors. A set of employees at the two organizations, including the person filling this position, shares their time between the two organizations. This has no effect on salary or benefits.
ABOUT THE POSITION
TIRRC is seeking a creative, proven communicator with writing, content creation, and design skills to coordinate our development, social enterprise, and organizational communications with a focus on advancing the story of our mission and growing our base of supporters and donors.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Draft and edit compelling fundraising emails to support donor engagement and campaign goals. -
Assist in developing and scheduling engaging social media content related to organizational events,
fundraising campaigns, advocacy outcomes, and other marketing content across platforms. -
Support the creation of marketing materials, including flyers, brochures, and event collateral, in
alignment with the organization’s branding and messaging. -
Collaborate with the development and communications teams to help implement marketing strategies
that promote fundraising initiatives and organizational programs. -
Monitor and track engagement metrics on digital campaigns and social media platforms to inform future
strategies. -
Assist in maintaining and updating organizational databases, mailing lists, and content calendars. -
Assist with website content updates and ensure consistency across digital channels.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to those listed above. As with every position at TIRRC, every person in the organization will assist their colleagues to ensure a cooperative environment and respond to the needs of the moment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Belief in TIRRC’s mission and commitment to social justice;
- At least 1 year of experience in communications, marketing, nonprofit development, social media management, public relations or related field;
- Fluency in English required with strong writing skills, fluency in another language preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work on a deadline, be highly organized, work independently, and maintain accountability and strong communication with others in collaborative projects
- Experience or interest in basic graphic design
- Experience with or willingness to learn Google Suite, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Bluesky Statusbrew, etc.
); customer relationship management and email marketing tools (EveryAction); SMS texting and relational organizing tools (Hustle, ThruText, Reach, etc.); and other tools as needed
SALARY AND BENEFITS PACKAGE
Salary Range:
$47,000-52,000 depending on experience.
