Business Development/Outside Sales DEC Fire & Water Restoration Birmingham, AL 35217 Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Outside Marketing Rep to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales and expanding our market presence in the commercial cleaning business. Preferably someone with a previous background in marketing to school systems, churches, and/or other commercial businesses. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities, managing accounts, and fostering client relationships. Duties Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to promote our Specialty Commercial Cleaning services. Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and analyze competitor activities. Manage assigned territories effectively, ensuring all sales targets are met or exceeded. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new accounts. Collaborate with the sales team to create tailored solutions that meet client needs. Utilize CRM software tools for tracking sales performance and managing customer interactions. Provide regular updates on market trends, customer feedback, and potential areas for growth. Experience Proven experience in outside sales, preferably with viable commercial contacts that you have developed over the years. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess customer needs effectively. Experience in territory management and account management is highly desirable. Demonstrated success in business development initiatives that resulted in increased revenue. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a knack for persuasive presentations. Who is DEC? We are a local fire and water restoration company based in Birmingham, AL for the past 26 years with existing branch offices in Montgomery, Huntsville, and Auburn…and soon to be Chattanooga, TN and Columbus, GA. A couple of years ago we discovered some of our commercial clients were asking for more specialized cleaning services in their buildings. They still use their daily janitorial companies, but maybe they call us in once or twice a year to clean the grime from those old floors in a 50 year old school…or the pews in that 100 year old church. By using some of the same tools and techniques we employ cleaning up fires and floods everyday, we were able to create a Commercial Cleaning Division inside the restoration company. As of today, we already have several school systems, universities, churches, and golf courses that use our cleaning services, and we would like to add more.
