Position Summary:
Abaco isseeking a highly strategic Vice President of Business Development,Sales & Marketing to manage the vision and results for OEM businessdevelopment, sales, aftermarket sales, marketing, outside salesreps and distributors. This position requires a strongresults-oriented leader for this multi-site, global business unit.
This position reports directly to the Division Vice President andBusiness Unit Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive Growth:
Develop and implement a strategy and action planto achieve the company’s desired growth rate.
Organizational Development:
Ensure that the entire businessdevelopment, sales & marketing organization has the capability toscale for growth.
Business Development:
Drive the development process to developthe opportunity pipeline.
Direct Sales Performance:
Deliver results that include managingand executing per the opportunity pipeline.
Rep/Distributor Sales Performance:
Evaluate and drive the repand distributor network and agreements.
Culture:
Drive the AMETEK culture throughout all levels of theorganization.
Product Development:
Collaborate with customers, engineeringdepartment, and senior management to drive a technologyroadmap.
Marketing:
Position Abaco as a premier supplier in the OEMmarket.
Customer Satisfaction:
Drive VOC metrics and enhance customerexperience.
Strategic Plan:
Develop and periodically update a comprehensivestrategic plan.
Financial Management:
Support financial reporting and manage tothe approved budget.
Education:
BA/BS required with Engineering Degree preferred. Master’sDegree a plus.
Experience:
Must have a passion and background in the aerospace and defenseindustry. 10-15 years’ experience leading strategic business developmentand sales initiatives. Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empoweremployees. Outstanding communication skills with the ability toeffectively communicate at all levels. Creative business development and sales visionary. Able to lead and coach team on complex sales negotiations. Effective at tracking progress and designing efficient businessprocesses. Demonstrated ability to manage a geographically dispersedstaff. Computer skills to include Salesforce, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,Outlook, etc. Local candidates to Huntsville, AL or willingness torelocate.
