- Senior Vice President, Space Solutions Business Development

In this role you will be a dynamic and mission-driven leader who will define and drive Parsons’ growth in the rapidly evolving space domain. This role requires a strategic and technical leader who can develop and execute a space strategy, position Parsons as a trusted partner, and deliver integrated, full-spectrum solutions across defense, intelligence, and multi-domain operations. This leader must be deeply immersed in the Federal space community—understanding emerging missions, technology trends, and operational gaps—and have a proven track record of winning large-scale, multi-domain space programs in a high-tempo environment. You will bring a unique blend of strategic vision, customer understanding, and operational discipline to build a qualified pipeline of $10B+, pursue $250M+ prime opportunities, and consistently achieve a book-to-bill ratio >1.0x. You will also shape the future of Parsons’ presence in the Space Force, Intelligence Community, and adjacent federal markets, ensuring we move beyond traditional roles to deliver innovative, integrated solutions that drive mission impact. What You’ll Be Doing:

Strategic Leadership & Market Shaping:
+ Develop and execute Parsons’ comprehensive space growth strategy, aligning with our Defense & Intelligence Sector priorities and national security missions. + Identify and shape opportunities in emerging space mission areas: resilient architectures, advanced space domain awareness, LEO/MEO/GEO data fusion, PNT resiliency, threat detection, assured communications, and multi-domain command and control. + Engage directly with mission owners, program offices, and technology thought leaders to understand operational gaps and develop solutions that drive customer mission impact. + Leverage market intelligence to inform investments in IR D, talent, and partnerships that strengthen Parsons’ competitive posture in the evolving federal space market. +
Sales Performance & Growth Metrics:
+ Build and mature a robust opportunity pipeline, focused on opportunities that integrate space-based sensors, secure communications, data exploitation, and mission operations. + Consistently achieve a book-to-bill ratio >1.0x, with a focus on quarterly performance and measurable results. + Oversee early and rigorous opportunity qualification, capture planning, proposal development, and pricing strategies to ensure successful pursuit of large-scale, mission-critical programs. + Leverage Salesforce and other BD tools to maintain accurate pipeline data, driving performance transparency and accountability. +
Capture & Solution Development:
+ Drive the pursuit of high-value ($250M+) prime opportunities and ensure the team is equipped to address customer mission needs with innovative solutions. + Collaborate with technical, program, and capture teams to ensure our solutions integrate advanced analytics, AI/ML, autonomous operations, and resilient architectures—positioning Parsons as a trusted mission partner. + Serve as a thought leader in translating customer challenges into winning strategies and solutions, differentiating Parsons in the federal space market. +
Strategic Partnerships & Enterprise Growth:
+ Identify and cultivate partnerships with technology innovators, system integrators, commercial space leaders, and mission-focused R D organizations to expand Parsons’ capabilities and reach. + Shape and negotiate strategic teaming arrangements, NDAs, and IP strategies that create lasting competitive advantage. + Evaluate M&A opportunities to accelerate Parsons’ presence in mission-critical space segments, from advanced data analytics to resilient space-based platform. +
Team Leadership:
+ Lead and mentor a high-performing team of business development and capture professionals who are technically savvy, mission-focused, and fully engaged in the national security ecosystem. + Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning that attracts and retains top talent. + Empower the team to navigate ambiguity, adapt quickly, and deliver impactful results in a high-tempo environment.

Collaborate with enterprise BD/capture teams, business unit leaders, and functional heads (e.g., Contracts, Finance). +
External:
U.S. Space Force (SSC, SpOC, STARCOM), Space Development Agency (SDA), Space
RCO, NSIC, U.S.
Space Command, NRO, and other federal agencies. Research & Transitional Agencies, to include DARPA, Research Labs, DIU/NSIN, SCO. In collaboration with Federal and Critical Infrastructure teams, emerging markets, to include NASA, Space Commerce/NOAA, DHS/CISA, DOI, State, DOT, DOE, DTRA, USDA, and others.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- + 20+ years in business development, strategy, and capture in the federal space market, with a track record of winning large-scale programs ($250M+) that integrate technical and operational excellence.
+ Proven success in building and converting pipelines in dynamic, competitive environments, with revenue accountability of $500M+ and leadership in $1B+ organizations. + Deep understanding of how to evolve growth strategies to align with the priorities of the current administration and national security objectives. + Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute integrated, mission-centric solutions in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. + Technically fluent in areas such as space-based ISR, SATCOM, PNT, multi-domain integration, and advanced data exploitation, with the ability to translate these into customer-relevant growth strategies. + High emotional intelligence (EQ), with the ability to build trust and inspire high-performance teams. + Continuous learner with humility, curiosity, and strong communication skills to drive collaboration and influence across internal and external stakeholders. +

Salary Range:
$220,500.00 – $409,500.00 This position is eligible for incentive compensation.
