Position Description:

The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) position is responsible for growth plans outlined below annually while maintaining and expanding dealer relationships & organic growth. This individual will support dealers and work with sales support staff to maintain all brand programs, volume requirements and image standards. Requirements Bachelor’s degree, or related industry job experience Retail dealer sales experience preferred Strong negotiating skills Relocation possible Extensive travel including overnights. Responsibilities Growing territory through personal sales activities Convert uncontracted customers to contracted customers. Annual organic growth expectations

  • 8-10 new sites, 6MM new gallons, $270,000 increase in Gross Profit (GP) annualized gallons.

Understand the economics & gross profit of a deal, for each individual dealer (Commission and By The Load), and work with sales support on pricing. Secure and present, externally and internally, necessary documents to secure new business through brand offers, using approved economic models, quotes to support investment levels (if applicable), credit documents, brand proposals, WSA’s, and customer set ups through approved processes. Arrange and organize the first load of fuel (especially branded supply) to any new customer. Following up with customers during first year of contract on their actual performance to compliance on ops and gallons. Maintain good relationships with dealers (customers and prospects) through phone calls, emails & personal visits. Engage with and foster relationships with Colonial Oil (COI) departments supporting sales initiatives (I.E. Logistics/Transportation, Supply, Credit, Billing etc). Working with Retail Sales Representative (RSR) to schedule, complete and reconcile all projects in assigned book of business. Engage with respective/assigned RSR and Account Managers with assigned accounts weekly to review & assess any specific account needs, obstacles, or opportunities. Understand all current & new industry related technology requirements. Attend brand and industry meetings as required. Sales Training/Continuing Education
