As Sales Manager – Group Rooms, you’ll be at the heart of our hotel’s business strategy, securing group room blocks that fuel occupancy, strengthen partnerships, and keep our guest rooms buzzing with purpose. Whether working with corporate clients, wedding planners, or tour operators, you’ll blend thoughtful hospitality with strategic selling to bring the right groups through our doors—on time and on brand.
With a strong sense of ownership, you’ll manage the full group sales cycle, from lead generation to rooming lists, ensuring seamless coordination and unforgettable guest experiences.
In this role, you will:
Sell group room blocks to corporate, social, educational, and association clients, creating a curated stay experience aligned with each group’s unique needs.
Build, manage, and grow client relationships through proactive outreach, thoughtful follow-up, and a commitment to service that goes beyond the contract.
Collaborate closely with Revenue Management and Front Office teams to ensure group business is profitable, aligned with forecast, and smoothly executed.
Respond to inquiries, conduct site visits, and prepare proposals that reflect both brand voice and business goals.
Stay highly organized with contracts, rooming lists, billing details, and communication touchpoints—making sure nothing gets missed.
Represent the hotel at tradeshows and client events with confidence, clarity, and charm.
Meet or exceed group sales goals through strategic planning, a keen understanding of market demand, and daily commitment to execution.
Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities through strategic prospecting, networking, and market research to drive account growth and revenue generation

You’ll be a key part of how our hotel connects to the community, fills our guest rooms with purpose, and delivers hospitality with intention.
Other Functions
Participate in strategic sales meetings including weekly departmental reviews, tentative business analysis, and lost business evaluations to drive continuous improvement and market intelligence.
Support sales operations through administrative excellence, maintaining organized files, managing communications, and ensuring seamless client experiences from inquiry to execution.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred
Minimum 3-5 years of group sales experience in hospitality or related service industry
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and revenue goals
Experience with luxury or boutique hospitality properties strongly preferred
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Comprehensive understanding of hotel operations, including departments interaction, safety protocols, and industry regulations
Expert knowledge of meeting room configurations, audio-visual equipment, and event space optimization
Advanced proficiency in sales technology including CRM systems (Delphi preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, and hospitality management platforms
Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills with authority to commit company resources
Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities with talent for compelling proposal development
Strong analytical skills for financial forecasting, space utilization calculations, and revenue optimization
Diplomatic relationship management skills with ability to handle challenging situations with tact and professionalism
Physical Demands
Ability to conduct extensive property tours including walking throughout all hotel facilities and meeting spaces
Capability to travel regularly for client meetings, industry events, and business development activities
Comfort presenting to groups and conducting site inspections in various environments
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends to accommodate client schedules
Physical stamina for attending tradeshows, networking events, and extended client entertainment activities
