This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a brand new hotel and restaurant group and a prime meeting and event destination.
Job Duties:
Creates and executes strategic sales plans to identify, attract and retain appropriate business to hotel Assists other sales members as needed in the achievement of their goals to ensure departmental goals are met Pro-actively manage all aspects of the sales cycle with prospects: relationship development, sales presentations, site inspections, proposal generation, and contract negotiations as well as invoicing. Proactively lead and generate new business opportunities, drive sales, and deliver results for designated accounts and market segments with support of Demand & Agency 360. Negotiate and confirm annual rate agreements for corporate negotiated clients and maintain communication with corporate negotiated account managers (minimum contact 1 time per quarter). This position will require outside sales and solicitation calls. Handle all aspects of group & meeting business: site inspection, creating and sending proposals, preparing and following up on contract, coordinating all group room block details, creating banquet event orders, floorplans and invoices. . Coordinate logistics and details for group events, including but not limited to: rentals, activities, ground transportation and off-site dinner arrangements. . Attends events as needed for additional support this includes but is not limited to: high-touch client events, and complex, detailed functions. Document sales activity in provided reports. Schedule and conduct site inspections and client entertainment including travel agent FAM trips Manage promotional programs, meeting packages. Participate in weekly Sales & Revenue meetings, pre-convention meetings (with any corporate clients who have guestrooms), training, and other sales-related meetings as required. Prepare a Monthly Group Sales Report to be brought to each weekly sales meeting. Attend trade shows, community events, and industry meetings as scheduled. Assist with reports and/or competition data collection. Achieve or exceed budgeted revenues and personal/team sales revenue goals and maximize profitability. Assist in creating Sales & Marketing Plan and Budget Review competitive data, demand analysis, and mix management to establish goals and create a forecast in conjunction with the Revenue Department to ensure timely, accurate, and complete information Create and maintain meaningful client relationships Skillfully responds to incoming leads and maximize lead conversion from all sources, Creatively sells available hotel rooms and event space to maximize revenue Analyzes and manages business opportunities to achieve the highest profit margins for department and hotel Follows-up with clients after each function to ensure satisfaction and solicit for additional business. Conducts oneself at all times in a professional business manner, acts as a professional representative of the hotel and an enthusiastic member of the sales team. Undertakes other responsibilities as directed Work closely with the Senior Management Team to identify and drive focused activities on elements of the business that require additional support.

Qualifications:
University or college degree equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or related major or professional area Computer skills and knowledge of industry-focused systems such as OPERA, Delphi including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Apps Minimum 2 years hotel sales management experience Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service Strong leadership skills, positive attitude, and good oral and written communication skills Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop creative approaches to these challenges Ability to handle multiple tasks with excellent organizational skills Knowledge of the local market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies Excellent selling skills Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and independently Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed Positive, enthusiastic approach with a team mentality Experience in luxury and boutique hotel brands is a plus Self-motivating Mindset
