The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of hotel catering sales experience and will focus on selling and servicing both social groups and weddings. Must have flexibility to work weekends based on business demands. Prior experience with Delphi FDC, OnQ PM, Cvent is preferred, but not required. What will I be doing? As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for the development of market segment(s) including solicitation of new customer relationships, negotiation of business through proposals and contracts to close business. Maintain and grow existing relationships with hotel’s social accounts. Ensure consistent, high-level service throughout the contracting, pre-event, event, and post-event phases of events. Directs event logistics to affected departments and team members responsible for event execution. Specifically, your essential functions will be to perform the following tasks to the highest standards: Target and solicit new catering business through lead generation, face-to-face prospecting, and relationship referrals Design, develop, and sell creative catered events Develop existing business to uncover additional revenue opportunities Maximize revenue by upselling packages and creative food & beverage Respond to incoming catering opportunities Perform site visits, solicitations and maintenance activities according to SOP. Assist with the forecasting all catering revenue categories Stay on top of industry trends making recommendations to the sales and catering teams Conduct regular outside sales calls and networking events to initiate new contacts, solicit leads, and make sales presentations Evaluate business opportunities to maximize revenues
