SummaryResponsible for Tracking and managing the governmentsales portfolio. Grow opportunities in vehicle platform componentsales. Communicate with military personnel on Mile MarkerIndustries products and capabilities. Translate US Military andinternational military customer requirements into product featuresand/or new products.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively network for approvals and changes benefitting thewarfighter and Mile Marker Industries within TACOM, SOCOM, and DOD Review Registration and Audit sites required for conductingmilitary business, (SAM.Gov, PIEE, SPRS etc.) to make necessaryrenewals and updates. Communicate to the CEO any and all findingsthat require a change to information. Work closely with the engineering and Operations team to ensureclient needs are met. Advocate internally for resources required togrow government business. Continuously improve and expand Mile Marker’s presence with theUS Military services.
Identify, qualify, and grow new businessopportunities. Monitor federal government contract sites such as Dibbs,PartsBase, etc. for solicitations and/or opportunities to submitbids and RFQs. Manage and communicate sales information and product changesboth internally and externally. Create files and update, as necessary, all military sales andopportunities (wins and losses), with the purpose of creatinghistory used for sales approach and inventory needs. Conductanalysis and reviews as needed to provide a clear path forward.
Develop and manage client relationships to support revenue targetsand goals. Work closely with engineering teams to deliver new productsinto the marketplace. Company liaison, engaged with engineering, between militaryinstallations of federal, state, and local agencies and primedefense contractors. Identify opportunities for recovery productsfor lightweight tactical and armored military vehicles. Participate in contract negotiations, proposal development,technical support, and customer support.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Four plusyears in a government sales role
- Experience working with thedefense industry.
- Military and/or DoD background highly desired.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strongsituational awareness.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingnessto work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Strong understanding of business processes with the ability totranslate business requirements into technical requirements anddeliver requested output timely and accurately.
- High level ofenergy, positive attitude, and selfless attitude for the benefit ofthe firm.
- Advanced MS Office skills.
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field from a four-yearcollege or university.
