The Manager, Channel Optimization Leads the management of the agency channels and products for Point of Sales (POS) USA and has the direct responsibility to lead key projects for the U.S. organization with focus on the achievement of defined objectives within multiple areas that has a direct impact on the Commercial branch’s corporate objectives.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and report on the performance of the different products and channels in the USA and give direction on adjustments and required course corrections Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize sales and achieve revenue objectives. In collaboration with RM, Agency sales, corporate sales, develop, maintain, optimize agency products for the USA. Ensure that AC’s products are competitive and optimal for the US marketplace. Give direction on the use and objective of the different sales products to the Account Management team. Continuously improve and expand the suite of sales products available to the US to better respond to the needs and requirements of the different sales channels. Represent Air Canada with the different JV forums in the USA, relative to the different managed sales channels. Link between the US and Agency Sales, Coordinate system updates related to portfolios (managed/unmanaged business), to ensure changes are done effectively and that accounts are attended as required Support the team with all contract types (agency leisure and retail) as well as with RFI, RFPs etc. Monitor and report on the economic, business and market trends within USA. Qualifications University Degree, Business, Sales Management 5 years or more experience in the aviation related Sales and commercial management experience. Strong knowledge of the travel industry market in USA Good knowledge of Air Canada A++ Joint Venture, TBJBA Self-motivated with initiative, aggressive, determined and adaptability under work pressure Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills and a friendly and sincere demeanor. Culturally sensitive. Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
