For our office in Plantation, FL we seek a candidate with a proven track record of increased sales in the maritime or cruise industry. We are looking for someone who can prioritize the many different aspects of the job from traveling for customer visits to forecasting sales, resolving order complications and working closely together with the Fulfillment Team, Service team, inside sales and our regional offices. A successful candidate will have the ability to see the big picture of the company as well as know how each department functions and coordinates with one another. Boll Filter is seeking a candidate who can take our Cruise Industry business to the next level and ensure we achieve the company’s aggressive sales goals.

Responsibilities:

Account Management•Play an active role in expanding our existing presence in the US Cruise Industry for genuine spare parts, new filter units and service work. Sales Management•Develop strategies with our Fulfillment Team, Service Team and our regional offices to increase the sales into the Cruise Industry. Monitor and manage open quote report along with our fulfillment and management teams to ensure weekly, monthly and quarterly bookings. Consistent reporting and following up.

Prospecting•Develop new customers and new business with existing clients through engagement, site visits, and consulting. Actively request inquiries and prepare/issue quotations with the support of Boll Filter Corp. as needed. Networking•Initiate personal contact with existing and new customers to build up a relationship with key decision makers, including lunches, dinners, and industry events. Investigate and participate in trade shows and related conferences. Maintain and develop knowledge of markets, applications, solutions, and associated filter products. Work on all project phases with customers and Boll Filter’s internal team (share knowledge and help foster a team environment) to increase our market position. Actively use our CRM tool to record interaction with customers and prospects. Plan all work quarterly, yearly, and report progress weekly.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, business administration or related field. 2-5 years’ experience in technical sales. Experience in the maritime and cruise industry and mechanical components and /or systems is a plus. Ability to understand engineering and technical drawings. Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task. Innovation and problem-solving skills including the ability to develop and propose equipment-based solutions for clients. Ability to perform and succeed with minimal guidance by being proactive, self-motivated and a team player. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations. Computer literacy and proficiency including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. This is an in-office role with frequent travel and customer visits, on average 30% of working time. This position is full time, exempt status. When not traveling, the employee will be expected to report to our regional office in Plantation, FL on Monday•Friday, 40 hours a week. Our 8 hours office hours are flexible between 7.30a.m.•5.30p.m.
