$30.1K – $38.3K a year 1 day ago Qualifications Sales Mid-level Bachelor’s degree Sports Business coaching Strategic partnerships Business Leadership Communication skills Full Job Description The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (Triple A Affiliate of the Miami Marlins) is searching for a Director, Corporate Partnerships to manage and grow our existing corporate account list and drive revenue by creating new revenue opportunities through developing outreach strategies that result in innovative partnerships programs. The ideal person will have the ability to sell multi-dimensional partnership agreements, reaching across a diverse array of team assets to maximize value and long-term revenue. The ideal candidate possesses the desire and passion for sales development and should have the experience to generate leads, conduct sales meetings, assist in negotiations, and develop customized presentations. This hands-on Director role is tasked with working with the management and activation team to deliver a unique ballpark experience for fans of all ages.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyzing client needs and creating sponsorship packages that align with business goals and drive revenue. Lead and direct the entire sales process for corporate clients, from establishing a prospect pipeline and creative outreach plan (via targeting and qualifying leads through cold calls and referrals) to delivering professionally engaging presentations. Developing a strategy to identify potential clients, initiating, and building relationships with corporate partners while maintaining existing relationships with corporate partners that align with business goals and drive revenue. Maintain clubs’ corporate partnership weekly reporting to track prospects and partners along with their respective investment levels. Collaborate with VP of Sales to manage cost, monitor inventory and budget to ensure the best use of inventory and allocation of expenses. Participate in community and industry-related events, conferences and associations that will enhance the Club’s reputation and potential for success while building new relationships with industry leaders Maintain a strong awareness of the business community, promotional activities of professional sports teams, marketing trends and opportunities to effectively generate new partnership sales. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Proven ability to identify and prospect for opportunities that could yield positive revenue results and relationships. Proven experience in leading sales meetings, coaching, setting goals and tracking performance against goals. Strong problem solving skills, including the ability to analyze current business opportunities and implement recommended solutions. Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication skills with ability to build strategic partnerships. Ability to work diverse hours during peak season is required. 3+ years of outside/corporate sales experience is required; experience in the sports industry is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Business or related major is preferred.
