About the Role This is a 6 month contract-to-hire position with opportunity for full-time conversion. This role requires regular in-person time at our offices in Miami and Aventura , collaborating with our core team and participating in key meetings. You should also be prepared to travel to client sites across South Florida and throughout the U.S. as needed to build relationships and drive business opportunities. We’re seeking a Business Development & Growth Manager whose superpower is connecting dots—and people. This role is laser-focused on building new relationships, opening doors, and helping us win new business with new clients. You won’t be bogged down with operations or delivery. Your job is to network with purpose and help us grow. We’re not hiring a traditional salesperson—we’re looking for a relationship-first business developer . How You’ll Contribute:
Build and nurture relationships with decision-makers across organizations in South Florida and the US Identify high-potential companies in need of digital transformation or AI solutions Represent Ampersand at events, in conversations, and on platforms that matter Collaborate with our leadership team to qualify leads and shape pitches Drive the end-to-end client acquisition cycle, from intro to signed engagement Work closely with marketing to align outreach with our positioning and messaging
What You’ll Bring:
A proven track record of creating and closing new business opportunities, consistently meeting growth targets, and opening doors to high-value client relationships A strong network of decision-makers or the ability to build one fast Experience managing long sales cycles, closing deals, and securing new projects in a consulting or advisory setting Familiarity with the consulting, digital strategy, or AI tech landscape A natural ability to start conversations and move them toward value A hunter’s mindset with a builder’s heart—you love creating opportunity Excellent communication, hustle, and resilience
Desired Skills & Technical Acumen:
Digital Transformation Awareness – Solid grasp of how modern organizations adopt technologies like AI, automation, and cloud platforms to improve operations and customer experience. Consultative Selling Techniques – Ability to lead value-focused conversations, uncover pain points, and shape solutions that resonate with business and technical stakeholders. Market Research & Targeting – Skilled at identifying high-potential prospects, researching company and industry trends, and tailoring outreach strategies accordingly. AI & Data Literacy – Comfortable discussing data analytics, Agentic AI, and emerging tech concepts in business development contexts (no need to be a builder, but must speak the language). Additional Requirements This is a commission-heavy role designed for someone who thrives on performance and rewards.
