Our client is currently seeking a Business Development Manager•Transmissions/Substations to work on a remote schedule with up to 50% travel across the US.

Business Development Manager•Utility & Transmission Sector Remote•Continental U.S. | Up to 50% Travel Nationwide About the Role We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our growing team, specializing in building substations to power data centers in partnership with major industry leaders. This role requires strong connections within transmissions, utilities, and key industry players, such as Henkels & McCoy, Quantum Energy, and other leading firms. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain business relationships to identify and secure project opportunities Lead strategic positioning efforts to differentiate from competitors Utilize internal resources effectively to maximize profitability and minimize risk during the bid stage Monitor industry trends, funding shifts, emerging technologies, and scopes of work Understand client funding cycles, capital investments, and project life cycles Expand existing customer relationships to increase market share Oversee and utilize the CRM tool (Coessential) to manage pipelines and track opportunities Establish and grow relationships with utilities, engineers, developers, and supply chain partners to foster business opportunities Develop and implement marketing & capture strategies aligned with business objectives Stay ahead of market disruptors, technological advancements, and regulatory changes Drive proposal strategies and assist operations in resolving project challenges through industry relationships Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 5+ years experience in utility or transmission sectors (equipment supplier, construction firm, or equivalent) Strong network within utilities, engineering firms, developers, and their supply chain Proven track record in business development & sales strategy Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven Ability to travel up to 50% nationwide Strong presence with excellent communication & negotiation skills
