June 10, 2025. About the Role The Miami Wynwood BID seeks a visionary leader to guide one of Miami’s most vibrant arts, culture, and business districts. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, expertise in urban planning, economic development, and public-private partnerships, and a forward-thinking mindset to ensure continued growth and sustainability. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Advocacy:

Serve as the leading voice for stakeholders, ensuring the BID’s initiatives align with economic and community goals.

Operations & Administration:

Oversee daily BID operations, including safety, sanitation, marketing, and placemaking initiatives. Manage budgets, contracts, and compliance with local and state regulations.

Economic Development & Placemaking:

Drive business retention and attraction strategies, oversee infrastructure and public improvement projects, and secure funding opportunities.

Policy & Government Relations:

Develop public-private partnerships and maintain strong relationships with city officials and policymakers.

Community Engagement & Public Relations:

Represent the BID at public meetings and events, advocate for the district’s interests, and collaborate with property owners, developers, and local businesses. Requirements

  • ​ Minimum 8- 10 years of senior leadership experience in business improvement districts, economic development, urban planning, or nonprofit management.
  • ​ Proven expertise in district revitalization, commercial real estate, and regulatory strategy.
  • ​ Strong financial and operational oversight capabilities, including budgeting and infrastructure project management.
  • ​ Excellent public speaking, communication, and advocacy skills.
  • ​ Familiarity with South Florida’s business climate and regulatory frameworks is preferred. Education
  • ​ Bachelor’s degree required in Urban Planning, Business Administration, Public Policy, Economic Development, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • ​ Master’s degree preferred but not required.
  • ​ Certifications in economic development, urban revitalization, or leadership training are a plus. Compensation & Benefits
