The Director of Strategic Operations is responsible for leading a team to ensure appropriate business insights and measurements are created and leveraged in support of their assigned customer group.
The individual is responsible for creating proactive, positive working relationships with various functions in the organization to foster collaborative innovative thought and business solutions. They are responsible for understanding each customer’s business drivers, utilizing this knowledge to develop mutually beneficial strategies that maximize Company profit.
This individual is responsible for identifying, hiring, and developing and fostering the growth of the entire team, maximizing each individual’s potential to the betterment of the individual, team and Company.
This individual should have an impeccable executive presence using influence to lead impactful change. This individual will identify opportunities and lead large-scale, high-visibility projects to evoke necessary change across all T+L Brands.
How You’ll Shine:
Lead a team to revenue opportunities and create operational efficiencies by developing innovative approaches and forward-thinking processes, using data and building forecasts to create and present enterprise-wide solutions that capitalize on opportunities to increase company profit and/or lower Developer obligation. (30% of time)
Lead a team to analyze data and use critical thinking to make balanced decisions delivering superior results that benefit the business and its customers. Lead a team to adopt and improve analytical processes and techniques that deliver accurate forecasts, drive efficiency in completion, including meeting deadlines. (25% of time)
Acquire, lead and develop team by mentoring direct reports, enhancing potential skills and addressing development opportunities. Provide timely and behaviorally specific feedback, align and mobilize the organization with a set of common goals while maintaining an encouraging demeanor at moments of stress in a way that will positively influence others’ attitudes. Partner with team leaders, ensuring cohesive leadership and positive team culture and comradery. (25% of time)
Establish clear objectives for the team and obtains and directs team’s resources to ensure alignment to the organizational strategies, including increasing Company profit. (5% of time)
Build relationships across multiple business units including but not limited to senior and site leadership, to remove barriers and foster collaboration by providing service, guidance and influence that is mutually beneficial to all parties and to develop and champion courses of action that drive business results, increase store profitability and position them to achieve strategic intents. (5% of time)
Experience directing and ensuring proper policies and procedures are established and adhered to at all levels within responsibility area. Other projects and tasks as directed. (10% of time)
Travel Requirements
Minimal travel required up to 10% if required.
What You’ll Bring:
Education
Master’s Degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or Engineering
Knowledge and Skills
Expert level knowledge on forecasting approaches and techniques
An understanding and appreciation for working with large data sets, implementing and adopting fully operational analytical processes
Strong aptitude for analyzing data and making balanced decisions that will benefit the business and its customers
Thought leadership in meetings, providing influential recommendations supported by data and analysis
Ability to think critically and manage to superior level of results
Well organized and capable of managing multiple projects while able to perform under potentially stressful circumstances
Capacity to coordinate multiple large, complex projects and on-going programs autonomously and with holistic focus
Technical Skills
Demonstrated capability of effectively utilizing MS Office product suite, specifically MS Excel
Demonstrated capability leveraging data and analytical tools such as snowflake, power BI, and other for value creation preferred
Job Experience
Minimum 7 years of progressive business operations, analytical and financial responsibility and experience (travel, hotel or timeshare industry preferred)
Excellent experience working with a wide variety of data sources, compiling and aggregating data across business information systems for performance measurement and executive summary purposes
Demonstrated capability leveraging data and analytical tools such as snowflake, power BI, and other for value creation
Strong financial acumen and aptitude for analyzing large data sets with critical thinking, making balanced decisions that manage to a superior level of results, maximizing Company profit
An understanding and appreciation for developing, implementing and adopting fully operational analytical processes
Minimum 5years of team leadership and management experience
Developing direct reports, addressing development opportunities, enhancing skills, maximizing each individual’s potential and retaining top talent
High caliber professional with impeccable credibility, executive presence and communication skills demonstrated by positive working relationships that foster collaborative, innovative thought to develop mutually beneficial strategies and business solutions that maximize Company profit
Demonstrated responsibility for understanding each customer’s business drivers, utilizing this knowledge to develop mutually beneficial strategies that maximize Company profit
Demonstrated experience (a) identifying strategic opportunities and executing on business solutions that drive Company profit and/or (b) using influence, collaboration and positive working relationships leading large-scale, high-visibility projects to evoke impactful change
Experience directing and ensuring proper policies and procedures
Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
