JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Sales will be a selling roleoverseeing the Encore and Spectrum Resort properties. The positionwill have an individual booking goal as well as team goal. You willassist the Complex GM with directing the group sales managers’solicitation efforts. Accountable to market performance and meetingbudget, forecast, and optimal business mix targets. Developstrategies to include market mix, pricing, status, and direct GroupSales. The development and solicitation of business from allmarkets to ensure the necessary advance bookings needed for asuccessful and profitable operation for NDM Hospitality.
ESSENTIALRESPONSIBILITIES
Direct the solicitation efforts ofthe sales staff through effective oral and written communicationwhile overseeing rate, date, and space commitments for group roomsales within our properties Assist the Complex GM to recruit,interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolveproblems, provide open communication, and recommend disciplineand/or termination when appropriate Ensure training programs areconducted regularly and NDM standards of performance are met. Giveguidance and counsel staff toward improvement Assist the Complex GMto compile and/or direct the preparation of reports pertaining tothe operation of the Sales Department to include, but not limitedto, the annual and monthly forecast Develop and conduct persuasiveverbal sales presentations to prospective clients Assist theComplex GM to initiate preparation of computerized annual businessplan and execute plans as outlined, critically examine, and adjustsales plans as deemed necessary by current market conditions Attendscheduled sales department, and related meetings. Knowledge of thetravel industry, current market trends and economic factors. Assistthe Complex GM to prepare, implement, and compile data for thestrategic sales plan, monthly reports, annual goals, sales budget,forecasts, and other reports as directed/required Assist theComplex GM to develop rates, group sales and catering deploymentstrategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis andmix management Professionally represent NDM and industryorganizations and events Perform any other job-related duties asassigned
REQUIREMENTS
Competencies, skills, attributes, experience,licenses, certifications, required) Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel,and Delphi Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills,as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required Extensiveknowledge of sales skills, revenue management, recruitment,supervision, training, and motivation of managers Ability toeffectively listen, communicate and perform diplomacy with internaland external customers and staff in all situations Ability to standand move throughout properties and continuously perform essentialjob functions with or without reasonable accommodation Effectiveverbal and written communication skills.
