Job Purpose The right hand person to the Bu Segment Manager in a region, and the support lead for the Regional Sales Managers
Translates strategy into regional implementation plan & ensures execution in order to impact financial targets
Interface with sales in creation of structured approach to drive delivery and scale up of winning value propositions and concepts
Working with Segment Manager and Product teams to develop of customer, competitor and market insights which aid development of winning value propositions & concepts including product, service and capability changes
Utilizes global campaign platforms and digital enablement to create customer demand, working with sales to optimizes delivery and conversion rate
Job Responsibilities Acts as Marketing Leader – prioritising segment actions and agreeing implementation/activation routes, including allocation of appropriate resources
Translates Segment strategies into operational action planning and implementation – Develops, executes and monitors key performance indicators for regional marketing team against strategy targets
Formulates Regional marketing plans and tactics, which include introducing, repositioning and withdrawal of how to win concepts (covering products and services) in countries.
Actively works with sales teams to clearly map implementation plans and targets, key milestones and timelines in order to ensure on-time delivery
Works alongside sales to build stronger customer partnerships & gather insights.
Translates SMU vision, policies, market research and customer specifications into detailed Region strategies, actions, targets and budgets and keeps up to date as continuous process.
Works with Product Portfolio/Management Team to define product and service portfolio required to deliver and embed winning concepts in regional sales organization. Works with regional sales to identify insights on customer needs and support requirements to both the Segment and Product teams to complete the feedback loop on the innovation portfolio. Provides a connection between marketing and sales with forecasts relating to regional product and service activation in their region
Execution of brand tactics into the market. Deciding which brands are used and the brand positioning in the region, aligning to brand strategy. Utilizes global campaign platforms for implementation into region, ensuring alignment of positioning and messaging with sales organization through appropriate training.
Input to segment led strategic pricing architecture and working with the Tender team to ensure operational pricing insights are understood and optimized in terms of regional financial targets. Gets a depth understanding of needs within the Region through market research and implements needs based segmentation model through close co-operation with Segments. Translates needs into clear value propositions and develops these propositions in close cooperation with SMU Marketing organization. Fully engages in the commercial strategy process to identify macro and micro economic indicators, threats and opportunities.
Be familiar with all applicable corporate and site policies/procedures with regard to personal conduct, HSE standards and always in compliance with all applicable regulations

Ensures reporting line is fully informed and acts in line with HSE and Compliance regulations.
Manages and plans relevant (departmental) budget and proactively manages the costs.
Reports on progress on a continuous basis.
Job Requirements Degree in Marketing, Chemical Engineering or equivalent professional experience in the chemical/coatings industry
Extensive working experience in either sales or marketing. Willing and able to travel approx. 20% of the time
Analytical mind with good financial acumen
Total Compensation The salary range for these skills is: $110,000 to $130,000 + a 15% Annual Bonus
