The Sales Manager manages and grows relationships with current and prospective customers and effectively executes the sales strategies and goals.
Job Description Southeast Sales Manager Role and Responsibilities:
Establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors. Participate in steering committee, planning and implementation of sales programs and promotions. Focus sales efforts by studying the existing and potential volume of accounts. Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature. Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses. Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel. Submits activity and results reports such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses. Stay up to date on trends by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc. Recommend changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments. Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to the management team. Attend and participate in sales and district meetings. Review and analyze daily and weekly reports such as special-order requests, customer bid files, and sales/gross profit margin data. Increase market presence in the Southeast territory of the United States Develop new business opportunities with retailers and larger distributors
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 10+ years of previous customer service experience required.
- 2+ years in Food customer sales/service/distribution experience required.
- Previous sales experience required.
- Working knowledge of CRM tools is a plus.
Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus but not required.
