Director, Business Development
About the
Role:
As the Director of Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of our organization. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Business Development, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of business development activities, including identifying new opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to develop and execute effective strategies that align with the company’s objectives and drive sustainable business growth.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve revenue targets and drive company growth.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
Generate leads through various channels, including networking, cold calling, digital marketing, and industry events.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs and objectives to effectively position our products or services.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the needs of prospective clients.
Lead negotiations with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions while protecting the interests of the company.
Manage the sales pipeline, tracking opportunities from lead generation to closure, and providing regular updates to senior management.
Provide leadership and guidance to the business development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of business development efforts, tracking progress and performance against targets.
Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, product development, and finance, to ensure alignment and integration of business development initiatives with overall company objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is required.
Experience in business development, sales, or related roles, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and building strategic partnerships.
Strong understanding of business development processes and best practices, with experience in strategic planning and execution.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and internal stakeholders.
Leadership experience, with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop actionable strategies for growth.
Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes and driving continuous improvement.
