The primary purpose of the National Sales Manager will drive the national revenue growth, customer acquisition and retention, sales operations, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver against business objectives. This role requires a dynamic, results-oriented leader who can shape national sales strategy, inspire and mentor a high-performing, geographically dispersed sales team, and champion Medisca’s commitment to customer excellence.
The role is remote. Travel to Montreal, Quebec, Canada will be required. The opportunity
Manage the US Sales Team
Lead, train, coach, mentor and motivate a diverse team to achieve individual and team sales targets across the region
Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that emphasizes accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Establish clear sales objectives and ensure consistent communication across the team to align with company goals
Provide and revise annual forecasts for the assigned territories and the total market
Develop and implement a comprehensive national sales strategy aligned with company goals and opportunities to increase sales
Identify training and development needs across the national sales force and implement targeted programs to drive professional growth and sales effectiveness
Sales Visits/Trade Shows Visit key customers and prospects across the U.S. to deepen relationships, gather feedback, and identify new opportunities for growth.
Represent the company at relevant trade shows, conferences, and industry events to stay abreast of market trends and build relationships with prospective and existing clients
Assist in the planning of road visits/blitz to promote Medisca’s offerings
Actively network within the industry, gathering insights to enhance sales strategies and improve market position.
Analyze Sales and Statistics
Continuously track sales metrics, KPIs, and performance data for each territory to ensure alignment with regional and national goals
Analyze trends within each territory and determine the potential sales growth
Analyze monthly statistics for territory
Evaluate and create KPI’s for the Sales team, track daily/monthly sales & review additional reporting
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment
Partner with Product Management, the Marketing department and other internal departments to ensure alignment and cross-functional collaboration
Provide feedback to product teams based on market insights and customer needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a Business related field
Seven (7) to Ten (10) years’ of sales management experience
Six (6) years management experience
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Physician detailing
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, medical sales or medical industry
Must have a valid passport and be available for travel up to 12 weeks per year
A strong leader with a positive attitude and the ability to influence and coach others
Proven decision making, problem solving and negotiation skills
Knowledge of working with a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) and a Quality Management System (QMS) such as MasterControl.
Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Teams and Excel) required
