WHAT YOU GET TO DO

The VP of Sales has the primary, executive level responsibility for getting business into the company and will be Knapp’s “face” and “ambassador” to the US and Canadian markets. This position will report to the CSO and have responsibility for all Sales and Inside Sales resources. The VP of Sales develops strategies and builds a sales organization that can achieve order intake goals established by Knapp’s Shareholders.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company’s objectives to achieve revenue and market share growth. Drives and manages implementation of approved strategies both internally and externally. Provide progress reporting in a frequency and format requested by the CSO and KAG management.

Partnership Development:

Establish and maintain relationships with potential partners, clients, and key stakeholders. Collaborate on mutually beneficial business ventures.

Market Analysis:

Analyze industry trends and market dynamics to identify emerging opportunities and threats. Stay informed about competitor activities and market shifts.

Sales Growth:

Support sales teams in achieving revenue targets. Foster a culture of sales excellence and customer satisfaction.

Team Leadership:

Build and manage a high-performing business development team, providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance. Produce Sales Department policies. Act as a “bridge” internally, and between Knapp US and KAG departments to insure appropriate communication is taking place to allow for smart and efficient sales efforts. Insure adequate, timely information is provided internally (to Accounting, Project Management, Customer Service, etc.) from Sales to allow for smart and efficient implementation of projects.

Contract Negotiation:

Negotiate contracts, agreements, and partnerships to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company. Working closely with Marketing and using the current tools (Hubspot / ABM) to define and develop the right marketing strategies for different industry segments.

Budget Management:

Develop and manage the sales and inside sales budget to optimize resource allocation and achieve strategic objectives.

Reporting and Analysis:

Provide regular reports and updates to the executive team, highlighting key performance metrics and progress toward growth goals.

WHAT YOU HAVE BS/BA

degree in Sales, Business, Management or other related field or comparable combination of education and experience Minimum 10 years sales management experience with 5 years at a senior level Technical background in material handling, logistics, and supply chain or order fulfillment highly desired Detailed knowledge of industry products, solutions and processes highly desired Solid understanding and experience of sales techniques, strategies and processes Knowledge/proficiency of CRM technology Ability to think creatively, plan, organize, set goals and execute strategically Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written Strong relationship building, interpersonal and internal/external networking skills Strong customer management skills with a focus on quality Entrepreneurial self-starter with hands-on approach

Working Conditions and Environment:
