Summary:

Drive market growth by working with our Distributors to actively manage annual business plans including volume, retail distribution and relevant, in-market events and promotions. Our Area Sales Managers will represent our full portfolio including alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic beverages, and hemp derived THC beverages.
The scope of your work performance responsibilities as Area Sales Manager will be as follows but not limited to:
Wholesaler Management
Develop and execute against Territory Annual Plan in alignment with regional and national initiatives
Meet monthly with distributor leadership and relevant management (Brand Managers, Key Account Managers, Area Managers, Marketing Managers, etc.)
Oversee monthly execution and achievement of distributor Annual Business Plan
Routinely analyze distributor inventory levels and forecasts, providing recommendations for adjustment to meet demand
Lead direct reports (if applicable) and distributor partners to deliver against agreed upon performance measurables:
Distribution / Depletions / in-market execution / POS standards / budget management / in-market & event activation
Utilize internal (distribution, depletions, etc.) and external (Circana, competitor ad activity, in-market surveys, etc.) data to identify new sales and distribution opportunities
Develop and manage distributor incentives aimed at maximizing sales and distribution opportunities
Manage and cascade pricing including annual PINC, promotional calendar, and volume / revenue generating opportunities throughout the year
Achieve in-Market Performance Standards
Drive Team to achieve agreed upon standards of execution against brand initiatives
Partner with Marketing Director and Managers to plan and execute core marketing initiatives
Drive Team to achieve activation and display execution standards
95% during ads / 50% during TPR’s / 25% non-ad displays
Conduct in-market retail surveys to identify competitive opportunities for Tilray brands
Conduct in-market work-withs to team-sells with distributor management and sales teams
Work with National Account Managers to integrate market specific On and Off-Premise programs
Oversee strategic growth of core brands, new brand launches, and LTO & seasonal offerings
Coaching and Managing Channel Managers / Performance and Development (If Applicable)
Develop multi-faceted strengths of each Channel Manager by challenging them to exceed goals in both On and Off-Premise channels
Conduct regular performance and feedback meetings with each direct report including identifying strengths & developmental opportunities, and outline a clear path toward growth
Actively engage in P2G process with direct report and provide clear feedback on progress toward plan
Leadership of Distributor Teams
Conduct distributor performance review and action planning meetings on regular cadence commensurate with distributor size and scale
Attend and participate in distributor sales meetings to inform teams of Tilray brand updates, local programming, and chain activity
Facilitate New Product Launches
Collaborate with distributor leadership and management teams to develop and execute new product launches
Attend and participate in new product launch kick-off meetings
Monitor 30/60/90 day execution / distribution / sales goals
Budget Management
Stay within quarterly/annual T/E budgets statewide by Wholesaler and MDM.
Analyze R.O.I. on programs and pricing.
Administration Details
Completion of monthly administrative tasks of work calendar, T&E report, VIP report analysis, weekly/monthly account visitation log, MDM incentives, etc.
Provide Sales Director monthly recap (Monthly Business Performance Review process) of sales and distribution measurables against goals and identify action to close gaps

Job Requirements:

5-7 years of experience in Wholesaler Management
3-5 years of experience managing a team to successful completion of goals
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Work seamlessly with all departments within the organization, and an ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders
Experience at having successfully developed and expanded retail and distribution in beverages
Working knowledge, experience and ability to successfully manage customer accounts
Ability to analyze and understand the trends within territory; including identification of competitors, competitive pricing within your region, and market trends
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and superior negotiating abilities
Ability to successfully prepare and conduct customer presentations and meetings.
Proficient in MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and VIP.
Customer service driven with the ability to execute and deliver sales growth.
Ability to travel domestically for work and visit accounts up to 50% of the time via plane, car, personal vehicle, etc.
Involves frequent walking, lifting, and carrying objects weighing up to 25lbs.
