Director of Business Development – Acadian FederalResourcesLocationAtlanta, GADepartmentCorporate / Administrative ⋑portFLSA StatusExemptDirector of Business Development – AcadianFederal ResourcesAcadian Companies, the parent company of AcadianAmbulance Service, Safety Management Systems, Executive Air CharterServices, Acadian Total Security, Acadian Health, National EMSAcademy, and Acadian Federal Resources, is seeking an experiencedand strategic Director of Business Development to develop andmaintain business opportunities and drive revenue through the saleof services to State and Government organizations and contractors.
These services include all of Acadian Companies deliverablesincluding but not limited to medical, safety, security, staffing,equipment, and miscellaneous support for public and privateclients. This opportunity offers a dynamic chance to identifypartnerships and foster relationships within the state and federalgovernment realm.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough market research to identify and generate leadsfor State and Federal government agencies, contractors, andsubcontractors. Track relevant government contract opportunitiesusing platforms like SAM.gov and other procurement portals. Generate relationships and disaster response contracts at thefederal level as a leading or contracting entity. Establish and maintain partnerships and response agreementswith state and local government entities within the organization’sdesignated operational zones. Develop and execute business development strategies to targetkey government agencies and contractors. Identify potentialpartners, decision-makers, and opportunities that align with ourofferings. Cultivate strong relationships with government agencyrepresentatives, prime contractors, subcontractors, and other keystakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact for all businessdevelopment activities. Serve as an embedded liaison within government responseinfrastructure during disaster events to support coordinationefforts and maximize organizational response capabilities. Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored proposals,RFP responses, and presentations. Assist in the preparation andsubmission of governmental bids, ensuring compliance with allapplicable regulations. Lead contract negotiations to secureagreements that are favorable to the company. Achieve or exceed sales targets by closing new businessopportunities and expanding existing relationships. Monitor salesperformance and report on metrics and progress to seniorleadership. Stay updated on industry trends, policy changes, and evolvinggovernment regulations. Provide insights to internal teams toensure the company is positioned to capitalize on emergingopportunities. Partner with new and current customers on existing business andfuture opportunities for additional services to ensure customerexpectations are met
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, orsimilar field required Minimum of 5 years experience in business development andconsultative sales roles Emergency Response experience is a plus Strong understanding of federal and state governmentprocurement processes and regulations Proven track record of selling to State and Federal governmentorganizations or contractors preferred Ability to create and communicate compelling proposals andpresentations tailored to government clients Proficiency in using CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot) andgovernment contracting platforms (SAM.gov, FPDS, etc.) Excellent organizational skills required Flexibility to travel, including immediate/unscheduled businesstravel requirements, in some instances for extendeddays/weeks/months.
