Job Purpose:
This role is responsible for creating and enhancing strategic relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction, retention and revenue. This role focuses on the overall development of the strategic relationship. This includes creating relationships with advisors in order to work with the plan sponsor, new client orientation, explaining the tools and services available to help plan sponsors, creating deep relationships with the plan sponsor and their company by delivering annual plan reviews, thereby understanding the goals for the plan, identifying creative solutions and implementing them. This role is also responsible for creating and owning the written relationship plan that sets the roadmap of activities, accountabilities and timeframes for the year of the plan. This role conducts its work in a face-to-face environment. This role is assigned plans over $5 Million in assets.
Job Responsibilities:
Facilitate strategic discussions with assigned plan sponsor accounts to review utilization and success of retirement programs and products. Serve as the trusted contact for all things related to the plan health and design. Seek opportunities to enhance the health of the plan through activities such as adoption of Stable Value, QDIA, Safe Harbor, Auto features, Education Solutions, and Non-Qualified. Retain existing retirement business through execution of a mutually agreed upon direction with the plan sponsor. This may include one or more of the following activities: proactive retention initiatives such as conducting annual performance reviews, attending Board and/or Trustee meetings, promoting educational opportunities for the plan sponsor and their participants and conducting a regular plan sponsor contact schedule. Ensure customer satisfaction; identify and document all triggers and leading indicators of dissatisfaction. Bring attention to them and act to resolve. Pursue plans leaving or terminating with surveys and lost reports. Ensure plans meet the target profitability ranges through proactive annual review of fees and bench-marking every three years. Monitor plan performance (participation, deferral rates, PLOT metrics). Participate in customer acquisition deals at propose or close phase to engage the plan sponsor. Serve as a liaison between cross-functional teams. Understand and stay abreast of the competitive environment of the financial services industry and credit union marketplace. Conduct self in a manner consistent with established policies and procedures of ethical market conduct with high standards of honesty, fairness and integrity. Understand and stay abreast of the competitive environment of the retirement services industry and credit union marketplace. Foster teamwork and culture that accepts and responds rapidly to change and is action oriented. Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Insurance or related field or an equivalent trade-off of related professional work experience. 5 years of proven success in a sales/service role with retirement products and services. Demonstrated technical knowledge of qualified retirement plan design options Proven ability to clearly and effectively communicate retirement solutions, product information and services to plan sponsors and their employees. Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, relationship building and customer service skills. Possess or obtain Life & Health Insurance License, Variable Life and Annuity License and FINRA Securities Industry Essentials Examination, Services 6 & 63 or FINRA approved equivalent within 120 days. Base Salary Range:
